    The East

The east side of the city is often considered the heart of Sacrosanct. It's here were the majority of the shopping district can be found, deep in the heart of downtown. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often times, new comers to the city may be come overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever present feeling that's hardly noticed. The streets of the east side are frequented by all species as many companies are housed in the sky scrapers and hole in the wall establishments that line the streets.

    Downtown

The city has a unique skyline, clashing between modern sky rises and small victorian storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however.

you could rattle the stars.
you could do anything,
if only you dared

The assassin is entirely grateful she’s able to change the conversation, the woman hardly caring to discuss Lazarus and their… nightly activity with his sister. It was a one time deal, not to ever happen again and yet, she couldn’t get the asshole out of her head. She wanted to hate him, to never see him again and still he managed to creep through her head, to appear in her dreams, the man never far from her thoughts as she attempts to drink him into oblivion. Still, drinking is what had gotten them into this mess to begin with. Ordering those drinks, she quickly downs her own while Ellie soon follows, the woman taking to drinking like a fish, clearly she was related to her brother. Once they finish, Vhalla drags a very willing Ellie to the floor, the hunter agreeing readily as they weave through the crowd into the center of the dance floor, the two women dancing away. From time to time, the assassin is glaring at the men that try to get close to the young girl, the woman keeping them at bay with the violence that so dances in her eyes. Good, they should be wary.

They dance for awhile, until their throats are parched and their cheeks hurt from grinning so much, its then that Vhalla suggests they get another drink, grasping Ellie’s hand only to drag her back to the bar. Quickly ordering a couple of shots, it doesn’t take the bartender long to return with them, Vhalla passing on her advice quickly. When they take the shot, Vhalla can’t help that musical laughter that flows through her lips as Ellie grimaces in distaste, “You get used to it,” Vhalla comments, infinitely amused as she listens to the girl’s response. The witch merely shrugs at her friend, “It basically is,” she laughs again humorously. Excusing herself to use the bathroom, a part of her wants to take Ellie with her to the bathroom and yet, the assassin doesn’t, leaving the woman alone at the bar seemed safe enough, there were plenty of people and really, how much trouble could she get into?

It was that thought that seems to be Ellie’s undoing.

The assassin returns to the bar, her eyes scanning it to look for that familiar golden hair, her brows creased in a frown as she glances up and down. Where the hell did she go? Waving down the bartender, “Where did my friend go? We are about the same height, blue eyes, golden brown hair?” Vhalla rattles off the description quickly only for the bartender to reply, ”She was chatting with some guy, I’m not sure where they went,” the bartender replies quickly before returning back to those drinks at hand. Worry gnaws at her gut then as she moves back into the crowd searching for her friend. She hadn’t been gone that long, there’s no way she had left the bar entirely! Clenching her jaw, she weaves through people, pulling each other a part as she looks for that familiar face.

Frustration and panic wells up inside of her as she makes her way to the entrance, glancing outside only to find no trace of the girl, Vhalla even harasses the bouncer, asking if he had seen her. When he shakes his head, a thought occurs to her… there was a backdoor for the smokers, perhaps she had taken a step outside to get a fresh air. Convincing herself that’s what Ellie had done, the assassin tells herself that the girl would get a scolding of her life for leaving where she was. Weaving back through the crowd she finds that exit, pushing outside into the cold air.
