    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

I'm more alive than I've ever been

She offers a gentle simper at the assurance of her friend, though it wavers precariously upon the cushions of her lips for the doubts remain as tar clinging to her heart. She understood perhaps better than most that some indivdiuals required a far more generous amount of space than others, Damon surely amongst them. But, truly this simplistic notion could not adequately explain his absences for months on end and the fact that he would do so without issuing any manner of warning to his lover. Faith, trust in one's partner, could only extend so far before its assurances lay exhausted in the stead of fear and contemplation. "Thank you, Nadya," she offers simply, content to allow the misgivings she had so foolishly unleashed to subside back into the unspoken ether of her own considerations.

"Absolutely," she muses with far more gaiety than moments before, adjusting Izzy's position upon her hip with expert ease before gently brushing a few stray locks from the youngster's face. "They won't ruin anything, and some comic relief will be welcome after all the stress of planning." Surprise pitches both of the vampire queen's brows skyward as she peers down to find Micah clutching at her legs, chubby little digits flexing in what could be naught else but a command to be held. "Aha, I was wondering when you would come around," she chortles, scooping the babe into the crook of her other arm and lavishing a gentle kiss upon his forehead as he rests himself against her. Isolt's eyes flutter to a close for a moment at the burst of warmth upon her exposed flesh from his little cheek as he reclines his head, knowing without the barest shard of uncertainty that she could not and would never have the ability to proffer him such warmth and comfort. A vampire's flesh bore the chill of death, after all. It is a small mercy, she supposes, that Nadya offers distraction in her queries.

"Oh no, thankfully I have the setting up and tearing down covered. And there won't be many guests... just friends and some of our regulars from the pub, really. Damon didn't want me to invite his brother and my family..." Isolt gives pause then, whatever explanation she intends to explain away the absence of her family seeming to catch against the fibrous knot clenched within her throat. How many separate times had she considered finally reaching out to her long-lost loved ones? How many times had she found herself driving down the coils of those all-too-familiar avenues that would lead her to her parents' doorstep? Too many to ponder over in this moment, truly. "They won't be coming," she whispers finally.

Effortlessly does the redheaded woman move to deposit both babes gently into their respective cloth hammocks, ensuring that both were wrapped securely in their blankets before fastening the clasps about them. "I'd better let you get going, I don't want to keep you out in this cold any longer than you have to be. Let me know when you're free so we can practice with them, okay?"
