    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

Where you invest your love, you invest your life; [Miya]192.206.23.197Posted On December 08, 2017 at 10:59 AM by DAREIOS

It's not the long walk home that will change this heart, but the welcome I receive after the restart.

It's well after midnight and Dareios is only just leaving his last scheduled appearance of the day. The tall and lean vampire is tugging feverishly at the blood red bow tie satchelled around his undead neck as he walks briskly along the damp downtown sidewalk. He breathes a heavy and exasperated sigh, too distracted to fix the lopsided lapel of his jacket, casting the man in highly unusual disheveled appearance as he whips open the door to the Vodoo Room bar, bringing in the cold, wet air of autumn-turned-winter with him.

Dareios carefully casts his shoes against the old carpet before taking a step on the echoing tiles. It's like his worries have left his mind, if only temporarily, now that he's in a dark and smokey environment. But he knows better than to expect it to last long. It's only a matter of minutes before his publicist would fire off a series of texts outlining his commitments for the next day. And he knew better than to hang out in any drinking establishment for too long, for fear of the social repercussions that could come if his photo was plastered anywhere on the Internet. But he needed a minute.

Dareios ran his cold, pale fingertips through his damp, dark locks atop his head and slid into a cushioned stool at the bar. He smiled politely, though stiffly, to the bartender as he unbuttoned his coat, revealing a well-pressed ashen grey shirt underneath. It looked quite sharp with his red bow tie and matching pocket square. "A glass of red, please. Cabernet if you have it. Maybe the Caymus. 2014?"
