    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

I tried so hard but you still wanted more166.137.143.66Posted On January 11, 2018 at 12:39 PM by James King

despite the weather it gets better, you won't do this alone

James would have been entirely content to drink the evening away, to return home slightly buzzed, just after the sun rose, simply so he didn’t have to see Lisé. The woman having grown ever bolder as their lives went on, thinking she could do whatever she wanted. Truly, the vampire was most likely the cause of his reasoning to drink. Not entirely true, his life always having involved alcohol, Lise simply drove him to drink... more. Curling his lip in disgust at the thought of the woman, hardly caring for her to be in his mind at the moment, there is movement to his left. Clutching the glass a touch harder, he doesn’t turn his eyes into her yet, simply allowing her to move over to him, her confidence strides not unnoticed as she casually slides into place next to him. He thinks about leaving, not answering her, just to shove that arrogance of hers down a notch.

Yet, the only place he had to go was home and that hardly sounded appealing at the moment. Perhaps he could make something out of this night, even if she were a faerie, the man hardly denying other races to slip between those sheets of his. His sadistic pleasure so showing itself during those tussles in the bed, his imagination running wild as he always debates on simply taking their life then and there. In human terms he might have been considered a serial killer and yet as a Hunter... well, there were lines that were always crossed within that supernatural world. There was no policing the ‘police’ of the supernaturals. So, as her words drip from her tongue with honey, James regards her with those cold eyes, brows furrowing at her briefly.

“Their stock in liquor is rather disappointing,” he replies, his voice entirely void of warmth as his eyes travel her naked shoulder for the briefest of moments before returning to that pretty face. Her next comment doesn’t register any feeling within the man, his eyes searching her, probing at the mask she wore. Her eyes were calculating in a way he hadn’t seen in a long time, almost matching his own in a sense. “I’m sure you do,” he responds then, finally shifting in his seat to face her, though that gaze remains entirely impassive in that moment. It hardly took him long to figure it just what she wanted for the evening, a single woman approaching a man in the bar... well, that would always lead to something else. Perhaps he would oblige her.

Her probing question falls from those lips again as James debates on how to answer her, deciding he would settle with the truth, he tilts his head, that dead smile curling at the corner of his lips, hardly caring if that mask was absent for the time being. “I’m avoiding my home,” he states simply, his eyes darting to her nearly empty glass. Waving down the bartender, “Get the woman another drink,” he says absentmindedly, hardly caring the way the bartender glowers at James in that moment. “And you? Why are you out here all alone, don’t you know it’s dangerous for your kind to be wandering the streets?” He murmurs, a cruel smile so adorning his lips now, not truly caring he had just revealed himself as a Hunter. He didn’t think the woman minded though. He had deduced faeries to be skittish, to flee at any possible threat, and here this woman was dripping with confidence. Perhaps his evening would be far more entertaining than he originally planned.
