    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

In truth, the Dark Hunter hadn’t bothered to ask for the details of the hunters he was spending his evening with. The peculiarities hadn’t mattered to him. He simply didn’t care. After two centuries he had seen far too many good men and women rise and fall. He had watched empires crumble and cities be ransacked. Alexander’s blue-green eyes had seen the atrocities that all species were capable of and in the end, he had given up on putting forth any kind of effort to establish a relationship with any of them. With a glimpse of apathy, his gaze cooly met the chocolate ones of the female in front of him though if she interested him in any fashion, it hardly showed upon his apathetic facade. His attention shifted as his gaze caught sight of a glimpse of light flashing off of a glass bottle, the phial crashing upon the pristine marble floors to release a dark smoke like substance. With a soft sigh upon his lips, Alexander shifted, pushing himself off of the wall with the resignation that he might actually have to do something in order to avoid the concoction of their prey. He noted the fashion at which Azrael began to glow, his gaze momentarily preoccupied by watching and, thanks to his own unique affinity, understanding exactly how his fellow hunter’s affinity worked. He hardly bothered to offer any kind of helpful explanation though, a small shrug crossing his shoulders as his eyes promptly turned towards the hissing sound as the acid brushed across the dead man’s flesh.

He carefully stepped back from the creeping fog towards the staircase at his side, the front of his boot stepping onto the bottom step. He hardly required instructions to tell him where to go, it was rather obvious that staying here meant death. His course paused, however, at the sound of Azrael’s voice, offering the man the slightest of nods. It hardly mattered to him if they caught up or not, just as it didn’t particularly matter if they found the witch or not. It was a precarious position Alexander placed himself within - this effort to not lift his sword unless required of him and, quite frankly, the council was making it even more difficult to do so. Either way, Alexander was happy to leave the duo behind, bounding up the stairs with surprising ease for someone as decidedly “ancient” as himself. He paused upon the top of the stairs, his gaze shifting down both sides of the corridor. If this was a proper witch hunt, they would have been vastly more prepared for a situation like this. It was sheer ridiculousness, a farce of a battle at best and the more Alexander participated, the more he found himself irked by their complete inability to prepare themselves properly. There was a scowl on his lips as he chose the darker corridor, letting it lead him to heaven only knew where. As long as it was off of the main foyer, Alexander was quite certain that he didn't particularly care where he ended up.
