    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

kissing death and loosing my breath
A soft sigh left the young woman's lips as she fished her cellphone from her pocket, the digital screen lighting up brightly with a flick of her finger. A small frown crossed her sweet heart lips at the numbers that were mirrored in front of her. In truth, she was hoping to catch Rowena but after investigating the Witchery, the woman found the place to be surprisingly absent of it's fearless leader. The fact that Rowena even left the premise for some reason astonished Serafina, though in truth she supposed that perhaps the woman had always been quite the enigma. Still, the female had been peculiarly excited to show the older witch her recent find, it's extravagant make and intricately cast spell had been right up Rowena's alley, of that she had been certain. Serafina shook her head ever so slightly, placing the antique silver watch back within her bag. The watch had hardly been her only find. Occasionally, Serafina would venture out into the city, visiting the flea shops, pawn stores, and garage sells to pick over others objects. She'd learned that many mortals held magical items that they were entirely ignorant of. Serafina discovered with the right amount of haggling, she could get such items for a steal and mark them up considerably within her own shop. It was quite the process of flipping products but it had proven strangely effective this month, at any rate.

Tonight she'd found quite the haul, there was the watch she was intending to show Rowena, a costume quality necklace with an loyalty spell, a child's toy to promote placidity and, the most peculiar of all, a pair of real leather studded gloves with some sort of curse she couldn't quite identify. What she was aware of, however, was that there was something uniquely peculiar about the gloves, even for her and the magic she was so often used to. The pawn store had been reporting particularly suspicious activity of late but the owner was far too naive to recognize the connection between his gloves and wrecked store. Serafina, however, had and quite frankly she was quite eager to further look into whatever jinx had been imbued into the material. "Well... I guess she isn't here." She muttered to the wolf at her side, glancing back up at the sign that swung in the winter breeze. Serafina clutched her jacket closer towards her frame, shrugging ever so slightly. "Guess it's homeward bound." She grumbled though it was hardly to any individual in particular. Lately her relationship with Raven had been particularly strained but she had made no effort to chase the wolf off again after she'd admitted wishing to avoid her pack. Serafina hadn't particularly pried either, instead simply accepting the girl's presence with a facade of disinterest.

The witch turned, stepping down the side walk and heading back towards her townhouse in the East side. Atleast, that was her plan at any rate. It was the gentle brush of wind stirring her hair that caused the girl to pause, her grey tinged eyes momentarily lighting up. The witch had gotten particularly good at noting breezes that didn't belong. They were often the only forewarning she had of Azrael's power, the brush of him running by at speeds her eyes were unable to detect. She pivoted in place, her eyes scanning the street only to find, with surprising disappointment, the figure of a vampire materializing in front of the Witchery with a young woman nestled in his arms. A woman that, on further inspection, Serafina realized she knew. "Bethel?" She inquired softly, her eyebrows furrowing ever so slightly.
