That sudden sharp gasp from the woman and clear delight at the announcement of their engagement readily prompted that warm simper from Dorian in turn, his own hand lifted to afford her a glimpse of that gold and diamond laid wedding band Sebastian had presented him within in the night of the man's own proposal. That congratulations met with that ready nod off his head. Dorian rather assured that, much like Raven, that mention of that wedding so had a habit of stealing a smile to his features no matter the moment or time of day it was mentioned. Even despite the veritable stress of planning all those things. It was the women's sheer look of surprise in regards to that wedding however that near prompted the Monarch to mention those very invitations he had given to her mate. A decision that, perhaps, had not been totally sound given the fellows rather unique demeanor. The Fae King content to afford that invitation once more all the same. Dorian hardly having anticipated that near...hesitation on the woman then as she offered her own lack of….dignified blood. Raven so apparently fearing for her mates behaviour and too the very customs she might so be expected to follow. Dorian merely allowing his hand to wave as if all such things were easily solved with the mere gesture alone.

“There shall be a dress code but outside of that I think it would not be terribly hard to merely do as the rest of the crowd does. No one will anticipate any such knowledge from you, Raven. One cannot be expected to know what one has never experienced. Truth be told my wedding has over a thousand people in attendance and I am sure I do not know nine hundred of them. I should like to have some of my friends there and it is for that reason I should like you to come. I have seen your mates capacity for sense when it should suit him. I have faith.”

Dorian was, perhaps, almost naive in that simple level of trust he afforded the woman. The man an eternally good natured sort of being, one inclined to think the very best of others. After all, Raven, in turn, was a decidedly good sort of person and one he was assured might even enjoy herself if she might allow herself to do just that.
The women's attempts to explain her mate as a sort of book character of sorts only seemed to prompt that near blank look from the Fae. Dorian oblivious in any sense to whom this Mr Hyde or Dr Jeckyll might be. The man instead reciting those very words Matteo himself had once offered him on the value of people. Dorian, rather like Raven perhaps, inclined to see those values rather than those faults. Even within a creature like her mate. He was an obscure sort of man and yet he did not lack either intellect of affection for his mate. Dorian assured those traits alone made those others redeemable. Raven’s assertion she could surely find him that very book met with another nod.

“I should quite like to read it, I think.”

Even if it made little sense to him. Dorian asking then after that very proposal. The Monarch unable to help that simper that found his lips all over again at that tale. At least until Raven mentioned the idea of standing upon one leg. Dorian struggling to so much as picture that very idea. How unbalanced that seemed! How very obscure too. Raven suggesting that it was not an entirely traditional stance but rather one her mate had seen fit to take up. It was nothing if not creative, he supposed. Dorian chuckling softly, his own grin brightening further at that comment off his ring before reaching eagerly for those wedding photos he was offered. How lovely such pictures were! The man portrayed there far different to the being whom had near chased him down the street. That near impish look finding his features as he commented upon how rather….handsome her mate was. Raven’s tone near teasing in return at that singular assurance he belonged to her. Dorian’s own eyes rolling lightly.

“I suppose I shall permit you to keep him. You should use one of those photos for the wedding invitations.”

He offered gently. The man careful to hand those lovely photographs back before inquiring after just when that wedding might take place. Raven commenting on the spring, or perhaps even the fall before mentioning her closest friend and the woman's role in that event. Dorian so hardly surprised by that admittance. After all it was the business of women to assist other women in those bridal duties! Dorian rather pleased she had just such a friend to assist her. That sudden mention off a favour however readily saw both the man's eyes lift in curiosity.

“Oh? I shall surely assist you if I can.”

After all, Raven was his friend, indeed he considered the woman one of those few true friends he had made since arriving in this city. If he could offer some sort of assistance then he was well assured that he would. That silver of his gaze drifted briefly from her own as her fingers near nervously seemed to wrap about one another. Heavens but what on earth was this favour if it made her so terribly nervous! Dorian himself near inclined to feel almost anxious over it, that near perplexed look finding his features then as she spoke off her pack and her father before so suddenly requesting that he might walk her down the aisle. That look of shock replacing that confusion now. Such an important job! Such a critical role! One so normally reserved for Father’s or brothers or another male within that family and yet, he supposed, perhaps Raven simply did not have one? The very idea that she might walk down that aisle alone distinctly terrible in turn.

“This is a terribly great honor I….I should be honored to…..if you are sure, of course, that would be content in my taking on such a role? I have never before….goodness I…..what on earth do i wear!?”
