The very obscurities off his birth were not the sort of knowledge Dorian was inclined to afford most. After all, the world at large still believed him to be the son of Ferdinand and Isabella of Clemont even if his notable status as a Fae surely cast that very ideology into speculation. Yet, his very crown afforded him a near diplomatic immunity all the same. No one daring to questions his claim out loud even if speculation over whom his real father might be was all but rife in those newspapers and gossip magazines. He held every intention, in time, of so having Matteo legitimized as his Father, his Mother’s royalty surely enough to maintain his claim on his own throne and yet until those lawyers had thoroughly explored the case and indeed those laws of royal inheritance Dorian was content to allow the world itself to remain in that speculative doubt. The man simply...trusting those three beings here and now to keep such things to themselves. Andras, he held little worry for. After all the elder Fae had known for nearly as long as Dorian himself had been alive. Troy too, he found he trusted decidedly. He was a good man, an honest man and with that veritable secret off his own child to keep safe Dorian suspected he understood that importance. Within Navi, perhaps, he held that slightly greater concern and yet the girl hardly appeared the sort to go running to the tabloids. Rather, he held perhaps more concern for the admittance he was not of Pure-Fae blood. After all, once, years ago, that very division between those bloodlines had caused a rather great split in their own community between those of pure blood and those off half-blood origins. Neither Andras, nor Troy nor even Navi so appearing terribly put out by that information in the least. Dorian finding himself all the more content with that group at large. That simper finding his lips at Troy’s promise to keep that secret and that he was surely a better King than any other, that soft chuckle leaving his lips then.

“I should hope so and thank you, Troy.”

He meant it, truly, that simple understanding a decidedly meaningful thing to the man. That conversation shifted then to that city itself and those issues, of a sort, that so came from bringing Amelia and Sebastian to that very realm. Dorian so finding himself almost anxious to consider that possibility. He so hardly distrusted Sebastian in any sense at all. Indeed, his fiance was the very man he trusted most in this world and beyond all others. Rather, how on earth he might so explain this world to him was a rather monolithic task the Monarch was not at all assured he knew where to begin. Whether or not Sebastian might even wish to see it another matter entirely. The sheer amount of Fae within that city surely tempting to any vampire in one fashion or another. Dorian readily considering a near plethora of possibilities. Andras too seeming to readily understand just how explaining that world might prove a difficult task, the idea that Andras might have some way of showing Sebastian with his mind promoting that curious look upon the Fae King’s own features s he seemed to contemplate that very thing.

“Perhaps, although I am not assured Sebastian would permit that. I am assured something might be worked out if you were to speak to him though.”

Dorian was, in the very least, more than willing to have Andras explain that world to Sebastian in a manner undoubtedly more succinct than Dorian himself ever would. His own silver gaze continued to linger on that city then, his mind already turning over those possibilities and indeed those improvements that could be made- if Andras desired them. Dorian already assured that electricity was possible. In fact, he near already knew how it might be achieved. The productivity of the city capable of being risen well beyond what it was now. Dorian so suddenly finding himself positively brimming with those sudden realisations. The man largely oblivious to Andras’ own consideration that it was a fortunate thing he was a Fae of the light, rather than the dark, for just how potent his ideas so had a habit of being. Andras’ assurance they would have time to explore that city and that there were several restaurants to try momentarily seeing Dorian glance away from the city once more and toward Andras.

“Does time move in this city as it does in the outside world?”

It was an odd question, perhaps and yet Dorian was very much of the mind to consider such things. The man falling in to step behind Andras then to follow that group toward that aforementioned lodge with its bright red door. Interesting choice of paint. The Italian paused to scrap the snow from his own boots before stepping within that space, Troy commenting on the fineness of the windows before that fireplace suddenly roared to life- startling the other man. Dorian himself inclined to peer curiously around that space that he was rather assured he could have assisted in decorating a little before that older woman was introduced to them as a housekeeper of sort’s, Dorian’s own head nodded in greeting, that warm grin upon his lips.

“Yes, it is a pleasure.”

He added simply, the man moving to find his own seat as he unzipped his newly drawn jacket to place it neatly upon the arm of the couch he had chosen for himself. Andras’ assurance they would be shown their rooms seeing that surprise find him once more. Goodness but how long did he anticipate they were staying? Dorian assured he need be home before the sun set. If Sebastian were to wake and find him still absent he was rather assured his lover might find himself…..distressed. Such distress would surely lead to Matteo appearing which would only lead to Alexander becoming involved. Dorian assured no part of that Fae city was prepared for those three men all at once. He would need keep an eye on that time. His gaze shifted readily to Troy then, the man clearly content to begin those formal talks in a sense and open that first official meeting of the Court. Troy so suggesting they shared a little about one another before beginning that tale of himself.

He had known something of Troy's past and his previous encounters with vampire kind. The man seeming to have had a disdain for that species since the first day they had met upon the beach and yet he had never before heard that full tale. Dorian’s gaze lingering upon him then as he offered it in full. This very notion that his Father and then his brother had been so content to walk from his life prompting a scowl from the Fae. Family was...critical. The Monarch disliking to think of Troy being so abandoned. Indeed he could hardly blame the other Fae for those thoughts of mistrust that had plagued him.

“If you should ever like assistance in finding your brother, in the least, perhaps I might be of help? I have the resources, in the least, to search for people- even when they might not desire to be found.”

If Troy was content to merely accept that disappearance of his brother then so be it, yet, still, Dorian could hardly call himself the man's friend without so much as making that offer all at once. He himself wholly aware of that importance of family. Dorian smiling easily at that mention of himself and his assurance Andras was worth trusting before that mention of Samantha saw his own smile dim. That woman still very much a sore point for them all, it seemed. Dorian content to push her from his mind with that query on whether or not anyone else cared to share. He had surely already shared that part of his own past with them all, the Fae assured they would not care to hear any further on that tale. Dorian himself perhaps not quite willing to share more of the details upon his veritable imprisonment yet. The man instead choosing to offer those more curious facts of himself.

“I am Dorian Valerio Aragona the First, soon to be Ellington-Aragona after my wedding in February. I was, as I said, born to a human Mother and a Fae Father in the fourteen hundreds. I was one of fifteen half-siblings. My relationship with my siblings was...varying. My relationship with Ferdinand, the human man the world believed to be my Father, was difficult. He openly found disdain in me. He knew I was not his own and I was no more then living proof off his wifes infidelity. My Mother, though affectionate, was distant if only because she feared her affection might enrage Ferdinand all the more. Matteo was a constant presence in my life though I would not know him as my Father for many years. I met Andras when I was still a teenager and he visited our palace.

Dorian paused then, so allowing the group at large to process those words before making any effort to continue with that tale. Dorian glossing over those more potent details for now.

“My family became….ensnared with a curse of sorts during the Spanish Inquisition. Eventually mortality or illness got the better off each of them leaving only myself alive throughout those years. Eventually I found my way to this city, quite by accident, where I met Sebastian and we have been together in some capacity ever since. I have been back to Naples several times in turn. Matteo and my relationship has improved and i discovered I had a godfather all these years I knew little off. I thoroughly enjoy painting and I am rarely, if ever, given to eat or drink- I lost the habit many years ago and simply no longer require food or water.”

That, he was sure, so afforded the group at large some measure of information upon himself as he sat back within that chair once more.
