He tried to keep observing the others so when Dorian told them about his lineage, Troy noted a look like familiarity in Navi's eyes. He didn't know anything about her background but he would guess she wasn't born into a fae world either. As they drew near to the lodge, he also took in her look of eagerness as she looked up into the branches of the trees around them as if already mapping the fastest way to climb one later. Once they sat down and were introdcued to Ida, it became apparent that Navi was uncomfomtable with the way he watched them all, her gaze darting the minute they would even get close to locking eyes. Troy made more of an effort to keep his gaze from wandering toward her after that, trying to respect her privacy. After so many years alive, it was second nature for him to study others. Besides luck, it was the only thing that had kept him alive this long, especially in his line of work.

Knowing when another being was less than noble in their intentions, studying their body language for clues as to when they might be about to attack; these were all honed into Troy at a very early age, making him much more observant than the average person. But he wasn't watching the others because he didn't trust them and their intentions. He was curious of them as individuals, wanting to know each and every one of them as more than just a court member, but as a fae and as a friend. He tried to offer an olive branch of sorts by volunteering his own story so that they could see his flaws as well, the story that made him who he was today. When he was done, Navi quickly looked at the other two, as if hoping one of them would volunteer next. Troy wouldn't push her to tell them anything she didn't want to. Even if she didn't want to share today, he would understand, already realizing that with her, patience and trust would be key to getting into her shell.

After Dorian had shared his secret, Troy assured him that he would not tell anyone and he was rewarded with Dorian's easy chuckle and smile as he thanked him. Troy then stepped back to let Dorian and Andras have their conversation about Sebastian and how best to handle introducing him to the fae city. Troy knew that trusting Sebastian wasn't a problem. It was apparent every time they were together that Dorian trusted Sebastian with his very life. It seemed more the matter of how overwhelming such information could be for anyone. Dorian seemed open to the idea of Andras talking with Sebastian about it though. Troy could see a glimmer in Dorian's eyes that told of wheels turning and ideas being brought to life but Dorian wasn't going to share them right now. Troy could only raise a brow in curiosity and listen as Dorian asked about time and how it works in that fae city in comparison to the world they left.

They all followed Andras to the lodge and made themselves at home but he noted the look of surprise in Dorian's face when Andas mentioned them having their own rooms. But then Troy jumped into his story and he could feel the full weight of Dorian's gaze on him as he spoke. Dorian knew of his great distaste for vampires but Troy had never volunteered the reason why until now. Dorian spoke up, volunteering his services should Troy ever need help finding Sam. Troy smiled warmly. "I'll keep that in mind. Thanks, Dorian." He wasn't sure if he was ready to take that leap just yet but at least he would have options in mind should the idea ever spur him to action. For the most part, he just wanted to know that Sam was safe and happy. He figured his brother probably stopped hunting and maybe had settled down with a wife and kids or something more his style. Maybe he went back to college to be a lawyer like he always wanted when he was younger.

Dorian next spoke up when Troy was done, telling more of his family life and Troy leaned forward, giving his full attention. Dorian brought the story around full circle to where he was now with Sebastian and the impending wedding, mentioning that he no longer needed food and Troy raised his brows. "I could never give up cheeseburgers now that I know they exist. You don't know what you're missing, Dorian." He smirked.

Andras was patient with Dorian as they talked about introducing Sebastian to the fae world. He said that he would explain when he met the man before shaking his head and saying that if there is a change in time, it's only slight because it never affected him. He let on that only the weather gets more extreme than in the outside world. Once they're inside the lodge, Troy gave a polite greeting to Ida and smiled warmly as she cackled and called him a charmer, saying he could rival some men at court. His brow lifted in amusement as he straightened up with that roguish smirk. "I once considered myself far better standard than most but thank you for the compliment." He watched her leave the room to get drinks, his attention turning back to Dorian and Andras as Andras assured Dorian that he would get him home tonight. Try felt his lips quirk. He asked permission before sharing his story and was rewarded with Andras waving his hand to let him go on. He could feel Andras' attention as he spoke and then when Dorian gave his tale, he could see a far off look in Andras' eyes as he relived old memories with the fae king.

Troy chuckled lightly when Andras teased Dorian about being scrawny. He raised a brow. "You act as if he's got any meat on him now. Must be the whole not eating thing." He smirked, his eyes dancing with humor in Dorian's direction. Then Andras chose to share and Troy gave him his full attention as well, intrigued to hear Andras' background. They had spoke a little about dark and light fae and he knew Andras had a different upbringing so he was curious to know what it was like and how he got to where he is today. Andras was the longest living fairy so far that he knew so he was eager to know more as Andras told them about his upbringing and how he took over the court only to have them attacked. His brows knitted together in sympathy when Andras told them how he searched for his court and finally found them. Then how he freaked out and sent himself here without meaning to and got lost for weeks. That must have been hectic.

Then he got back and his court didn't trust him. When Andras was done telling them how he brought the court here, Troy smiled in encouragement. Andras seemed to be winding down, saying he had things to take care and that they could stay if they wish or go back in one of the portals. He stood. "Thank you for sharing, Andras. That means a lot. I should probably be getting back to my family. Wouldn't want Amelia stressed. My trust is in you and the court as you have put yours in me and I won't betray that trust. All of your secrets are mine to keep and mine to defend, should it be called for. I will tell no one." He met all of their gazes to make sure they knew he was serious before he looked back at Andras. "I look forward to the next trip here and learning more about Somnia. In the meantime, I guess I'll see you later, Andras." He looked at Navi. "It truly was a pleasure. I hope to see you again." He smiled before turning back to Dorian. "Want to walk back with me so we can get through this portal thing together? No pushing, promise." His lips quirked as he held up his hands in surrender before heading to the door.
