    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

Abigail Hughes

The jiggle of that doorknob caused the young woman to panic from her hiding place. The little panda tucked herself further into that corner at the sound of those hinges ripping from the wooden surface. Her heart pounded in her chest, that adrenaline pumped anew within her system at that fear of not only being found, but too that assault of that broom. She tried to bury herself deeper into the shadows of that small hiding place, just has her teeth tried all the faster to pull that glass from her paw. There was a part of her that recognized that scent, that voice, that same part of her that so irrevocably trusted the man and yet, in that animal form, those instincts gripped by fear so overrode that logic. Her claws dug into that wooden counter at the simple touch of fingers against her fur and yet, against him, her efforts to remain upon that countertop were all but futile. Those strong arms lifted the little panda from her hiding place, near cradling her small figure against that hard plains of that cold, bare chest. In those moments, the young woman was oblivious to her vampire's state of undress, much less her fur pressed against his skin. All that mattered in that moment where her needs for safety and relief from that pain that so assaulted her.

Abigail fidgeted almost nervously within his arms as those fingers so tenderly ran through her fur. She took particular care in those moments to keep her paw away from those genteel touches, that blood and pain quite near demanding that it simply be left alone, even despite Arlo's decidedly good intentions. Those softly cooed words prompted little more than a whine from the little panda, the young woman still so focused upon escaping from that very woman within her view. Even Arlo, she was assured, was unable to protect her from the wrath of that broom. That grasp of his hand upon her paw caused the young woman to flinch, Abby attempted to pull away from that hand that held her own wounded paw, that glass bothering her to even spread those little toes in the fashion she so often did with those sensitive pads were touched. She was ignorant, in that moment, to those very instincts that so threatened to overcome him, in fact, Abigail was entirely focused upon the simple fact that he was moving closer towards that perceived threat.

She tried to shift in his arms, attempting to move away from that woman she was being carried ever closer to, though, with only three paws, her efforts were...little more than an annoyance. Thankfully, Arlo hardly seemed keen to linger near her, instead settling upon that sofa. She tried to slink from his lap, that desire for open air still wholly strong within her. She hardly got far, however, before his hand grasped her injured paw, spreading it open in a fashion that made a pathetic whimper leave Abigail's lips. There was little she could do in that firm grasp as he spread that paw to eye that glass lodged within. Those big hazel eyes stared up at him, quite near whining at him. She just wanted to go home. She didn't want to stay here with the scary woman. She didn't want to be chased by a broom. She didn't want that glass. She just wanted to be home - in her warm bed, with the covers over her head where she could hide from everyone and everything and just cry and and and...that sound that left her companion's lips drew the were's hazel gaze abruptly upwards and towards the encroaching young woman.

Her fur stood on end, those animalistic instincts so striving, in that moment, to make her look frightening in some regard, even if Abigail was certainly incapable of such a thing. Quite on the contrary, she was nothing more than terrified, that tightened grip on her paw drawing her gaze back towards him. Those miserable little sounds only left her lips with an increased ferocity at that comment that it would only hurt a little bit, a fact that she knew was a lie as he grasped that glass in her paw. That pull was abrupt and yet, the sensation of it all brought a yelp to her lips. She tried to tug away from him, to nurse her injuries in solitude and yet, she remained no match for that vampire strength as Arlo so quickly lifted that small paw to his lips. She could feel his tongue as it ran over that wound, that sound that reverberated in the back of his throat was unlike any she'd ever heard him make before. It felt awkward, that wetness against her wound and yet, a piece of her remembered enough of that last time he'd let him try her blood, enough for her to merely wince as she waited for that magic healing power to make it all go away.

She hardly anticipated for Arlo's thumb to raise to his own mouth, only to press his blood into her wound too. All this poking just make it hurt more, she was sure, even if that combination of saliva and blood had already started to jump heal that wound from the inside out. Abigail was almost thankful when he finally released her, the girl tucking her wounded paw under her in a fashion more like a feline as she curled that tail around her, squishing down into Arlo's lap as if curling in a ball would just make her disappear. Those hazel eyes wearily peaked at the young Miya through the hairs of her tail. Although she found feel Arlo's fingers rub at the fur behind her ear, the poor girl was all but miserable, too much so to even blush at the realization of how little Arlo was wearing. At the moment, all she could think of was how that night that was supposed to be theirs was all but ruined. She'd destroyed Arlo's home. She hadn't meant to….really! All of it only made her more and more disheartened, her ears sank ever so slightly in a small glimpse of those emotions that so afflicted her and yet, for the time being, Abigail hardly bothered to move in the slightest.
