    Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

Nadya explained that not all the children were Were's, but Malia's eyes widened like saucers when she told her that some were fae and witches. "Do they have pointy ears and stuff?" She found herself eager to look into the rooms and see if she caught any sight of fae children. It was so fascinating to her that fairies and stuff existed. It was one thing for Were's to exist cause...well, she was one. But a whole other thing for vampires and fairies and witches and stuff to exist too. It was just all too much. She could tell Nadya looked relieved when she saw her children in the room. Malia smiled. It must be the motherly instinct or whatever, the feeling of seeing your children after not seeing them all day and knowing they're safe and happy. She wondered idly if she'd ever know what that felt like or if she was doomed to be alone. She turned to look at the children, scowling thoughtfully for a minute before Izzy came running over with her drawing to show Nadya.

When Izzy finally made her way to Malia, Malia got down on her level and gave her full attention. She loved children. Izzy told her that she liked flowers, showing her the ones on the page before offering it to her. Malia's eyes lit up as she raised a brow. "Are you sure? Oh, thank you so much! I'll hang it up in my room." She grinned as she looked at it. It was probably better than any drawing she could do anyway. Then Nadya said it was time to go and and she looked around in disappointment at the other kids, almost feeling the urge to go "awww" like a kid pouting. But instead she sighed and followed everyone else outside. She waited for the kids to climb into the car, wondering how they felt so safe in the vehicle but she reminded herself that they'd been riding in it since they were babies. It made her think of that dream she kept having about the people that may be her parents and how they were all in a car in it. She chewed on her lip thoughtfully. That is, until Nadya brought up ice cream.

Her eyes widened. "Really?! Is it good?" She tilted her head. She'd never had it before but it sounded good. She climbed into the seat beside Nadya again and grinned at her. "I hope so." She was always up for new food to try, as long as it wasn't green stuff.
