if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
She could hardly imagine what it must be like to be King - what with all those scary photographers outside his walls. It was horrible trying to get through them to get in! Even the thought of getting out was enough to make her cringe. Poor Dorian, how long had it been since he had been out those walls? Frankly, she didn't understand why so many people had crowded outside anyways. Why did having pictures matter so much? The whole affair was entirely baffling, as far as Abigail was concerned and frankly, Dorian neither looked too pleased on it anyways. It was enough to prompt the girl to move beyond that mention of day trips, instead, she commented on that simple fact that 'Raven' was a name she knew! Admittedly, Abigail was rather pleased with that look of disbelief upon Dorian's features at Raven's lack of knowledge of a simple balloon. See! He understood how ridiculous this was! It was a travesty! Who didn't know what balloons were?! The girl nodded in ready agreement, entirely pleased he agreed, at least, until Dorian admitted he only learned of balloons last year! "Wait, wait, wait. YOU only learned about them LAST year? Have you like…ever had a decent birthday party? Don't King's have awesome birthday parties? Hasn't Sebby ever thrown you a birthday party with lots and lots of balloons?!?!" She inquired, her attention entirely steadfast upon him. It seemed as if Abigail had tasked herself as the ultimate birthday bringer. Oh yeah!

It was, perhaps, fortunate that their conversation shifted away from that talk of weres and balloons and birthdays to her own vampiric companion. Abigail was, admittedly, rather fond of the man, the girl taking that compliment entirely in stride, even as she told of their rather peculiar meeting and that horrific loss of her apple. Arlo was still supposed to take her to the grocery store to find her one to replace it. She'd have to remind him about that. Her gaze shifted towards the man beside her, even if he was wholly wrapped up in whatever whispered words he was muttering to Sebastian. Silly boys. They looked like schoolboys with the way they were whispering as if there was some invisible wall between the two pairs. Her head shook ever so slightly before Abigail returned her attention to the King across from her, entirely keen to discuss his own meeting with his fiancé. That almost teasing tone to Dorian's voice at Sebastian's near-legendary charm, however, prompted little more than a warm grin from her. See! They all liked each other! Maybe that meant they could all be friends and have more dinners together! Maybe she could host the next one! It wouldn't be all fancy though...and she did kind of like occasionally being fancy. Hm…..it was a tough decision. Thankfully, Dorian's own thoughts seemed to follow her own, in some kind of fashion...sort of.

Rather it was that mention of Arlo and Sebastian's friendship that they both seemed to so easily focus upon. She found it peculiar, really, that Dorian seemed so surprised that the pair had found comfort in one another's company, though she remained oblivious as to why. After all, Sebastian was charming and Arlo was funny! Why wouldn't they get along? It was that very consideration that prompted her question as to why and yet, that answer she received only served to prompt that more...speculative part of the girl. She found herself altogether curious if what Dorian had said was true, if their getting along might have something to do with Arlo's absolute love for the blood that ran through Sebastian's veins. Not that she thought Arlo was really that shallow but….maybe that's why they weren't all 'grrrr' at one another. Like a symbiotic relationship! Sort of. Even so, Abigail felt entirely obligated to inform Mr. Prince Charming of exactly what Arlo thought of Sebastian's blood, even if it was more of her words then really his. Her head bobbed quite firmly though as if this statement was nothing but an absolute fact. "He does! But we more taste like icky vegetables to him." She continued, reaching for that glass of wine once again. Oh well, at least she was a less icky vegetable.

The last thing that Abigail ever considered, however, was that question of how long they had been dating, that very idea alone was enough to fluster her, bringing that color rushing back to her cheeks and the feeling of butterflies near erupting in her stomach. Her assurances that they were not only not dating, but that Abigail had never really dated to begin with only saw Dorian soldier on, all the same, insisting she give her best friend a shot. Even that, however, hardly prepared her for the sudden knowledge that Dorian had rather inspected Arlo's butt! That chiding was almost immediate from her, even if it was associated with a rather bit of flailing and pointed fork staring. After all, Dorian had his whole….well...all of that to eye! Arlo was hers! Not that he had looked at his butt...should she have looked at his butt? What did cute guy butts look like? Her thoughts were drawn from such a place by Dorian's assurances that his eyes would remain settled upon his own fiance exactly where they belonged and yet, as much as she hated to admit it...he kind of had a point. For a moment, those hazel eyes simply stared at him with suspicion, as if she was fully aware of exactly what he was up to. ".....maybe." She admitted, begrudgingly, even if that flush was still altogether present upon her cheeks.

She certainly hadn't regained enough of her composure to handle Arlo's gaze upon her, his compliment astounded her - to the point that words resulted in little more than a squeak and yet, he was easily fended off and distracted by the mention of a gig! Oh! How exciting!! She remained altogether silent in those moments, though certainly entirely attentive as Dorian and Sebastian so taunted him with fame and exposure and all sorts of goodies! She was quite certain she could see Arlo folding like a stack of cards and yet...this was quite a good thing, wasn't it? At least, it seemed exciting to her! Her gaze turned almost hopefully towards Arlo until he finally agreed, leaving up to her to choose where to stay. For a moment, she considered it - or rather, she considered if it would be impolite to ask before her hazel eyes turned towards Dorian all over again. "Can we stay in the palace?! I can pretend to be a princess for a wholllee day." She could hardly help that beaming grin upon her features at the idea of it, after all, was that not exactly what all little girls wanted? To feel as super pretty and special as a princess? Still, her attention deviated quickly as dinner arrived, the young woman entirely content to let the men at hand discuss their designated parties. After all, they were affairs that her gender was not supposed to attend - and besides, she had wine! Mmmmm!
