if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
Admittedly, Abigail hadn't quite considered the whole notion of parenthood for the two men across the table from her. After all, biologically speaking, it was a near impossibility for them. Still, she hadn't thought about that whole adoption thing and that sounded like it could work out perfectly for them! "I bet you guys would have like the cutest child!" The young woman announced quite abruptly, that alcohol that rampaged through her poor little system was certainly having its way with her now, at least, to the point that she was quite willing to chatter on without truly putting any great thought into it. Rather, the girl was already imagining just how pretty a child Dorian and Sebastian would have if they could have one. She would take Mr. Chocolate Man's dark hair and Prince Charming's face and maybe Sebastian's chest and Dorian's arms and then….hm...well she didn't eye their legs….this was a struggle. Her mind child was incomplete! Those dreams of them having that perfect child, however, were quite near dashed by her newfound bestie best friend. Forever was like…..ages! What if she wasn't alive long enough for forever?! Then she couldn't play with their little kid! It was awful! Oh my god. She was going to die before she got to be an Aunt and they were going to live for forever and oh my god this is the worst thing she had ever thought about in her entire life!

At least, she was fairly certain it was - until she discovered this whole notion of a dog. The idea of one chased away any such somber thoughts of her own mortality. Hopefully, it was a nice dog and not the mean kind that likes to bark at her. "Dog?" She inquired brightly, her whole figure perking up at the idea of one. "Is it a nice doggie? Why didn't you tell me they had a doggie? I want to meet the doggie." Abigail uttered, her hazel eyes turning quite abruptly towards the entrance of that dining room as if she expected the four-legged creature to come walking in at the mere mention of its existence. Arlo seemed to like the doggie. Was Max his name? Arlo probably only got along with nice doggies. It was a shame that Mr. Doggie wasn't invited to that dinner party. Maybe next time. The young woman turned her hazel eyes back towards the men at that table, her thoughts shifted back to the conversation at large as she quite near abruptly inquired after Dorian's father and why he had bothered to turn so many other fae in the first place. The answer she was given was rather….reasonable, she supposed. And frankly, she was kind of glad that Dorian's father wasn't just some awful jerk trying to replace him. Because he was special!

Her hazel eyes shifted towards Arlo at the man's sudden insistence that Dorian's father was like a model saw her eyebrows raise as she sipped on that wine. Still, Abigail really wasn't that surprised. After all, Dorian was pretty model-like too. Except that he was a King. King Charming! The point was, his good looks had to come from somewhere. What was how genes worked! That prospect of Dorian's father hardly distracted her nearly as much as the man's tale of remaining within his palace for a….very very long amount of time. The parallels between those tales could not be ignored at all. That frown upon Dorian's features was mirrored upon her own but moments later - one that only shifted in a look more akin to horror as Dorian admitted he had little idea of this beast, much less that Sebastian had only given him a measly carnation! Her gaze turned immediately to the elder vampire in a near accusatory fashion. How could he not give Dorian a rose!? The Englishman seemed all too quick to jump in and inform Dorian all the same of exactly what she was speaking of, only to just as abruptly reassure her that he would ensure the fae King saw that fateful movie. "There better be a rose too." She grumbled, more to herself then the table at large.

It was, perhaps, a decidedly good thing that the table at hand moved on to a different topic before Abigail demanded they all watch Beauty and the Beast right now. Arlo's inquiry about that boy-radar had all but confused her, at least, until he informed her well that he wasn't gay. She certainly knew that, after all, she remembered well how he'd talked to her about taking some girl ice skating. Still, she was certain it was just that Arlo was pretty and single. People seemed to figure out that sort of thing quickly. That mention of the Backstreet boys caused her to eye the man's hair rather critically, though really she kind of liked Arlo's hair. That idea of showing Dorian what those men did in the backstreets quite near went over her head, the young woman altogether certain Sebastian was merely going to show Dorian those age-old songs. Cause Backstreets back! Fortunately, her own ignorance was spared any further embarrassment by the simple presence of DESSERT! Oh, it looked absolutely delicious and, frankly, Abigail had a thing for fruit. She was altogether delighted to indulge in that dessert, glancing up only at Arlo's inquiry of changing those jeans or even that hair. Those words that left her lips were far softer in that moment, spoken with a sense of solemness as she admitted that she liked the man just as he was.

That warm grin upon his features hardly helped that pink flush to her cheeks, though truly the wine was doing plenty of a good enough job at that. That dessert was finished far too quickly for her own liking, those plates cleared away by the same mysterious servants that had taken care of them all night. How nice it must be to be doted on so! The girl was hardly ready for that night to come to an end, that wistful sigh near left her lips at Arlo's insistence that it was time to go. "Aww….okay… can we have dinner again sometime?" She inquired, those hazel eyes turned towards Dorian and Sebastian. She enjoyed their company, quite frankly, and entirely wished for fun like this to happen again. These were, she was certain, the best friends she had never had.
