    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

He knew Townsend and Adelaide had probably been up for hours, making coffee and breakfast and all that fun stuff while he got his sleep. He was never much of a morning person until he got a tool in his hand and a job to do. Hell, Townsend was probably the kind to get up at 4 am and get his day started but what on earth does someone do that early in the morning? Taylor could only hope he never had to find out. The house was quiet when he walked up and knocked on the door. He expected they had been together so long that they probably moved around the kitchen naturally, like an old married couple or something. Good thing Taylor never had to feel like it was anything more than a close friendship between Adelaide and Townsend. More like brother and sister. So he just had to win over the brother to win the sister. Taylor wasn't surprised when Townsend opened the door. He offered him a friendly smile. At Townsend's sarcastic words about being on time, Taylor parted his life to correct him but Adelaide's voice sounded, beating him to the punch as she pointed out that Taylor was always on time. He grinned and nudged his head toward the kitchen. "Um, what she said. Morning, Townsend. You look bright and bushy tailed as ever."

He waited patiently for Townsend to let him in, turning his gaze back to the other man as he mentioned making more breakfast so he didn't have to work on an empty stomach. His hand went to his stomach as it decided at that moment to let them both know just how much it agreed with that statement. "You're a godsend, Townsend. Really. Any wife would be lucky to have you." He followed Townsend into the kitchen, knowing that he was really throwing it on thick this morning but he was going to keep trying to get Townsend to like him however he could. His eyes lit up the minute he got inside and found Reginald coming toward him. "Hey, boy. Miss me?" He grinned like a little boy as he knelt down in the foyer and started scratching on Reginald's ears. He made sure to give the male dog plenty of love before he finally stood up and finished his walk into the kitchen, happy to have Reginald firmly at his side. He kept his hand down so he could keep it on the dog's head the whole time, as if reassuring him that he would always have time to pet him.

The minute he saw Adelaide though, his face lit up like a boy on Christmas, his eyes twinkling as he nodded his head in a polite greeting in response to her words. "Morning yourself, ma'dam. I'm ready and willing to get my hands dirty in your yard today, as ever." He gave a teasing wink as he said it. He had to stop himself from saying beautiful instead of madam since that was their thing in the morning texts. Keeping his hand on Reginald the whole time, he made his way around to the coffee machine. "May I?" He asked Townsend politely before he poured himself a cup and went to take a seat beside Adelaide. He smiled at her secretively as he pulled up the chair, all too aware of just how little space separated their knees from touching under the table. Suddenly the air felt electrified. He cleared his throat, running a hand through his hair before he looked up at Townsend. "So, what's my chore list today, Townsend? Anything good?"
