    Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. Although these houses are somewhat small (often two to three bedrooms) they feature back yards, porches, garages and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and for the neighborhood as a whole.

    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

you could rattle the stars.
you could do anything,
if only you dared

Though her body is shuddering from the cold, she can’t help but feel that familiar fire racing through her blood as Lazarus fingers trail down her back. The assassin wasn’t entirely sure if he were doing it on purpose, attempting to ignite her core. They hadn’t talked about that drunken night, neither of them willing to bring it up but clearly there was something there. She could see that feral beast in his eyes every time he looked at her and she was almost certain he could smell her scent that so wafted off her body. Controlling her actions and emotions was one thing… controlling the way her scent changed was something so entirely out of her realm, she was at the mercy of him. Goosebumps raise along her skin as she ties her head, exposing her long, pale neck. How she desperately wanted him to lean forward and close that distance between them, for him to plant his lips against her skin. Vhalla hardly cared that she was soaking wet, that she was on the edge of hypothermia, she wanted him desperately. It was almost silly how she went from so utterly despising this man to… caring for him. The world worked in such odd ways, fate having always been a fickle thing.

Yet, that moment of hesitancy in his movements has all of that vanishing in a split second. How could she have forgotten those scars that so marred her back? Crossing her arms over her chest, her body stiffens as she straightens her head, blue eyes glancing over her shoulder at him once before explaining. Why? She doesn’t know and she doesn’t get answer from Lazarus, though, she hardly expected him to answer her. Stripping out of that suit, she saunters over to that tub, sinking herself into that delicious warmth. Her shivering doesn’t stop immediately but as the heat begins to soak into her body, she releases a sigh of relief before gesturing to the open space in front of her, that smile so adorning her lips roguishly. She would be lying if she said she wasn’t disappointed that he denied her, though she still lets that smile remain, dropping her hand back into the water as her blue eyes follow him to that shower, “Suit yourself,” she says casually, submerging herself farther into that water, her white hair floating in those bubbles.

Vhalla doesn’t avert her eyes as Lazarus pulls his shirt over his head, though he doesn’t look back at her, that blue gaze of hers travels his muscled back. When he begins to remove the rest of his clothing her eyes remain locked on him, those red marks on his back long gone, as her gaze travels a touch lower to his butt. Lingering there, a slight grin so adorns her luscious lips before he slips into the shower, his naked frame now blocked by the glass door. Leaning back into the tub, she rests her head on the edge of it, her eyes falling close as she relishes in the warmth, the color finally returning to her lips, “You’ve got a nice ass,” she calls casually to Lazarus, her grin only broadening as he listen to his reaction. Vhalla still couldn’t help but press the man’s buttons, his reactions far too pleasing to stop. Lazarus doesn’t take long in the shower, the water already being turned off as she glances in his general direction. She can barely see through the steamy glass as he uses the towel to dry off his hair, then his torso before wrapping that linen around his waist.

When he steps out, Vhalla sits up slightly, those blue eyes unabashedly taking in the sight of his his muscled frame. Her gaze lingers perhaps a touch too long on his chest before it travels up to his face, her own lips parted slightly, eyes hooded with wanton lust. When those words leave his lips, she clears her throat and settles back into the tub, looking away from him as she sinks a touch farther into that water, afraid she might do something brash if she continued to stare at him the way she was. “Leave the suit, it has bombs in them,” she flicks her hand casually as if it were a normal thing to be carrying around, yet, it was normal, at least for her. Vhalla hardly wanted Lazarus to hurt himself with her suit, there were hidden knives within the folds of the armor, he could easily trigger them if not careful. “I’m fine,” she states almost warily, her blue gaze finding him. When did he ever start offering her anything? Narrowing her gaze at him as if he were enigma, she hardly has a moment to tease him before he’s walking out that door, taking that delicious half naked body with him.

Sighing, she sinks even farther into that water, her chin dipped just below the surface as she groans quietly. By the gods, why did she want this man so badly? She can hear Lazarus shuffle down the hall, opening that dryer and throwing the clothes in but after the machine is turned on, she can’t hear him. Surely he was doing something. Another silent sigh escapes her lips before she pushes herself to a standing position, the water cascading down her naked body, hair plastered to her back. Her limbs were surprisingly stiff, perhaps due to the shivering that had so racked her body earlier. Taking a step out of that tub, she retrieves two towels, one she wraps around herself, the other she begins the process of drying her long locks. By the time she finishes, her hair is still damp and her body is cold again. Why did she have to fall into that damn pond? Between the cold and the magic use, it so fully sapped her strength, she was still unable to grasp at that fire affinity to warm her body.

Soon her skin is cold again, her body shuddering once more as she moves into the bedroom, rummaging through those drawers before she slips on an oversized sweatshirt and pants, she even goes as far as to slip thick socks onto her feet. Still, it hardly does anything as she continues to shiver from the cold. Grumbling to herself, she finds those sweats that Lazarus last wore, before stepping out of the bedroom to find her. It doesn’t take long to find the man lounging in the front room on that couch. Vhalla pauses in the hallway for a moment before making her way across that room and tossing him those same sweatpants, “Here, I figured you’d want some clothes instead of a towel while your clothes are drying,” she states, an almost awkwardness falling over the woman in that moment. Yet, its chased away by that shuddering from her body. Eyeing the blanket next to Lazarus, the hesitates for a moment before another shiver races through her, “Damn,” she mutters to herself before crawling onto that couch next to him and grabbing that blanket before she wraps herself in it.

Pulling her knees to her chest, she’s completely engulfed in the blanket and still she can feel that cold seeping in. “Lesson learned, no teleporting next to water in the middle of winter,” she mumbles out quietly.
