    Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. Although these houses are somewhat small (often two to three bedrooms) they feature back yards, porches, garages and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and for the neighborhood as a whole.

    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

Amelia needed more time. She needed to have a change to read “What to Expect when you’re Expecting” or something along those lines. She had a nursery set up for what she thought their baby might need, but she was still so sure she missing something. She was terrified. What if she wasn’t a good mother? Looking over at Troy as he fawned over the baby made her think that he was an absolute natural at this father thing. But her? She hadn’t been around children in hundreds of years. Surely things were different now. But she kept her thoughts to herself, not wanting to spook Troy or make him think that she was unfit to be this little angel’s mother.

At his comment about her bouncing back after baby, she giggled lightly. “I feel completely normal. It’s the strangest thing.” She wasn’t cramping or bleeding, her breasts weren’t full of milk as they should be. Her body was slim and her belly taught. Her body was just as it was before she got pregnant. “I wonder when I can show you just how much I love you again. I owe you dessert after all.” She winked playfully at him. She knew he would be reluctant to make love to her so soon after having the baby, but she felt normal. She would have to have Dr. Greene check in on her tomorrow so she could ask some of these very important questions.

Eyes watched him with love and adoration as he held his daughter and spoke to her. Her gaze caught his when he peeked up to see her dressing. She grinned. “Do you like what you see, Mr. Marks?” She laughed playfully before coming back to the bed and dressing the baby. His comment had her looking up at him with a smirk. “Get used to it. The nursery is going to explode in pink.” She knew Troy wasn’t the biggest fan of the color, but Amelia loved it. The fact that she now had a daughter to dress in the color made her very happy inside. Already she was thinking about all the mother-daughter matching clothes that they could wear.

She asked what the baby might eat, not entirely sure what she should be feeding her. Troy, however, seemed to know exactly what the little baby wanted to eat. Before she could say anything, he was pulling out a knife and slicing his hand. “Troy!” She grabbed his hand and put it up to her lips to suck away the blood that oozed from his wounds. She felt the desire for his blood stir, the long labor asking for nourishment to replenish her own health. But she did not take more than was already flowing. “She’s not old enough to understand self-control right now. I don’t want something to happen to you.” She leaned in, pressing her lips softly to his own. The kiss naturally deepened, letting him know just how much she loved him. “Besides…that’s reserved for me in times of heightened passion.” She winked playfully at him, thinking back to the only times she’d ever tasted his own blood. It had always been at the moment of orgasm. It was something that brought her very close to Troy. She was not ready to share him.

As if the poor butler had not seen enough, the man entered with a small bottle. “I thought the bay might be hungry. I warmed up some O negative…neutral.” Amelia thanked the man and took the bottle form him. The little baby could smell all the blood in the room and already she was stirring in the swaddle. “Here goes nothing…” She slowly brought the bottle to the baby’s lips and she eagerly opened her mouth and began to suck on the nipple. “I guess we know what species she is…” She hoped Troy wasn’t too disappointed. She knew that he was not a fan of vampires and while he tolerated her…she tried to keep a lot of her own tendencies behind closed doors out of respect for him. Now it seemed their daughter was more like her than she might have wanted.
