He could sense the tension in the room and he knew it came from Amelia's uncertainty now that there was a new being in the world that depended on them. She was so strong; he had no doubt that she would be a natural mother. He, on the other hand, was completely terrified. With his own history of abandonment from both his father then his brother, he feared that he wouldn't be a reliable role model for a child. What if he lost his temper? What if he was downright clueless? He couldn't just walk out on them. He refused to. He wouldn't be like his own father. He would do everything he didn't do. He would be there for her and watch her at dance rehearsals or baseball or whatever she decided she wanted to do in life. He would make time for her and he would never try to drag her into the hunting life that his father had dragged his brother and him into. He didn't want her anywhere near it. He didn't want Amelia anywhere near it either. They were his family and they deserved to feel safe at night.

Amelia seemed to like his compliment about bouncing back, giggling in that musical way she has as she said that she felt normal. He shook his head. "Naw, not for you, babe. You've got skills." He winked at her playfully. At her next words, he felt his whole body respond to the blunt hinting. His eyes widened and he swallowed as he turned his gaze back to her, his eyes lit with darker thoughts as his lips pulled into a lazy smirk. "I'd like that." He already felt his pants tightening and he shifted his inseam as he cleared his throat. Just the idea of her on the bed beneath him always seemed to draw his mind to darker places. He didn't want to rush her of course though. "Guess we should check with the doctor before we jump into anything like that. I don't want to hurt you." His gaze softened, looking her up and down like she was the most precious thing in the world to him.

As she started dressing, he couldn't help watching and at her daring question about liking what he saw, he chuckled and nodded. "Why, yes, miss Marek. I certainly do like what I see." Then she brought up a pink dress for the baby and he scowled. He'd never liked the color pink much and that hadn't changed. She made a daring comment about the nursery and his eyes widened as he made a mock horror expression. "You wouldn't..." He whispered tragically. Then she asked about the baby's diet and he smiled, finally happy to be of help. He could also hope to 'accidentally' get some blood on the pink outfit then maybe she'd feel the need to burn it. But mostly, he just wanted to feed his child. He cut his hand and she cried out his name. He looked up at her expectantly, raising a brow in question. "It's okay, love. I just want to feed her." He smiled wider.

Amelia reached for his hand first, putting it to her lips and he gazed at her adoringly as she took her own fill. He was sure she needed a boost of strength after the delivery so he didn't mind. Then she said that the baby wouldn't know self control and she didn't want anything to happen to him. He shook his head. "It'll be fine, babe. It's not like she can hold me down and drain me. She won't want to hurt me either." He smiled softly. As she pressed her lips to his, he returned the kiss with affection and as she deepened it, he groaned in approval, his hand fisting in her hair for a minute as he angled her head so he could deepen the kiss and plunge his tongue into her mouth, swirling it around the crevices of her mouth as if reintroducing himself. Finally they pulled apart and his eyes glowed again with darker thoughts. His breathing was a little ragged in a way that only she could seem to do to him as he chuckled at her words. He let his hand trail back to her cheek as he trailed his thumb over her jaw.

"That's always reserved for you, love." He smiled. Then he turned his head as the butler came up with a bottle of blood for the baby. He scowled softly but he knew this wasn't an argument he was going to win with Amelia, at least not tonight. The baby already looked excited as if she could smell it and Troy smiled, his eyes lighting up with adoration as he watched Amelia bring the bottle to the baby's lips. Amelia made a comment about knowing what the baby is and Troy smirked at her. "I think we already knew but yes, it is confirmed." His expression of love said that he was okay with it. He was more than okay with it, because she was still a part of him and a part of Amelia. She was perfect. He got up and came over to stand over Amelia's shoulder, gently resting his head there as he turned his head to watch the baby drink. He turned his gaze to Amelia. "So, love, you going to tell me my daughter's name?"
