It was only after those goodbyes had been said and that pair of companions had been seen off, with Abigail slightly wobbly on her feet, that Dorian saw fit to at last close that door, the Monarch turning to lean against it as he faced his own lover then with that warm simper upon his lips. Whatever words he had so been about to offer however were near stolen from him at the sight of Charles so proudly clutching that autograph he had achieved as the manservant hurried back toward that dining room to attend to clearing it away. The Monarch utterly unable to prevent that soft chuckle at the simple sight of the other man's pleasure before his hand so effortlessly reached for Sebastian’s own, Dorian allowing his fingers to entwine with the vampires as he moved to lead the way back towards that staircase and their bedroom. Arlo and Abigail had stayed near the whole night and yet Dorian so hardly found any sort of displeasure in their company. Indeed- the Monarch had found them both distinctly personable and a decidedly refreshing change from those more political guests they tended to entertain as a matter of diplomacy. That very simper that adorned his lips so brightening all the more as they made their way along the corridor to their room. Dorian so at last offering his very opinion of that evening.

“I quite like your friends Bastian. I am glad you invited them. In fact, I found them both terribly good company. Arlo is a decidedly odd creature, I cannot say I have ever met anyone quite like him- but I enjoy him. Abigail I found very endearing, she is sweet if not a little…...innocent, but very likeable.”

One eye lifted just so in that near teasing use of the word. Dorian, perhaps, so effortlessly having noted well what Sebastian and Arlo himself had in those passing hours. Abigail, it seemed, the sort of woman that was largely naive to certain aspects of the world and yet the Fae King was assured it only further added to her charm. She reminded him, decidedly so, of the way women had once been within his own time. Demure, sweet, delightful and so very easy to stir a blush to their features. Sebastian, it seemed, for all his lack of desire to make friends was a decidedly good at choosing them when he so decided too. Dorian quite assured the evening had gone splendidly even if he so found several questions still pressing at the forefront of his mind. That ever-present curiosity so having that habit of turning within his thoughts. One hand reached effortlessly forward to open the door to their room, Dorian shutting it again quietly behind them before turning to face Sebastian once more, his hands reaching easily upward to loosen his lovers tie and begin to undo that knot itself with a gentle, practised ease so tainted with that simple affection. His silver hued gaze so readily meeting the vampires own as he worked. That near impish look so having found his features.

“What exactly what is you were talking to Arlo about so quietly at your end of the table?”

The tie slid easily from his lovers neck then, Dorian wandering those few steps towards that dresser to place it neatly upon that polished surface as he moved to unbutton his own shirt, his head inclined back over his shoulder to eye Sebastian near expectantly then. It was decidedly rare, in any sense, for the pair of men to engage in such...gossip and yet Dorian was assured he so decidedly needed to know. The Monarch quite content to wonder if Arlo so harboured those same feelings of attraction for Abigail that the woman so clearly had for him. Although, he supposed, there was every chance he had not shared such desires with Sebastian if he had. Dorian scowling slightly at the idea as that shirt slid effortlessly from his figure, the Monarch stepping from his shoes then to wander back towards his fiance, Dorian moving to step behind him then as his arms wrapped with that clear affection about the man's waist. His lips pressing sweetly to Sebastian’s neck in that soft flurry of genteel, teasing kisses. The Italian paused then to offer those soft words against his lovers skin.

“Do you know, I quite think Arlo was trying to court Abby? I am not entirely certain of it of course although I may simply be unfamiliar with his….methods.”

That soft chuckle rose easily within the Monarch’s throat. His words wholly teasing at Arlo’s attempts to afford the woman that compliment at dinner, his head resting softly on Sebastian’s shoulder then in some clear effort to pry all the more information from his lover on just what he and Arlo had so been discussing. Surely it had been about Abby, had it not? Dorian positively assured he felt like a teenager once more at those very debutante balls when near all such discussion had revolved around just whom held interest in who! A final, teasing kiss was pressed easily to Sebastian’s jaw, Dorian stepping back to allow himself to topple decidedly ungracefully onto that bed, the Fae left in his dress pants alone as he leant back atop his elbows to afford himself that ever-enjoyable sight of his lovers continued undressing.

“He does like her doesn't he?”

How terrible he was! Yet, how unashamed he was of so seeking to ask such things. The Monarch eternally fascinated in those matters of love even when it was not his own love so discussed. That warm simper remained upon his lips still as one hand lifted to run through his hair, loosening it from that perfectly groomed state it so often retained. Another idea readily seeming to find him then as Sebastian finished undressing. That look of contemplation clear on his features once more. It was surely a decidedly foolish thing to ask and yet, surely there was nothing he could not ask of the man he was to marry?

“Bastian? Abigail said something quite curious to me. She said that Arlo told her that you taste like some sort of chocolate, at least, your blood does. Is this true? I have never tried your blood so I fear I hardly know and yet it seemed such a strange thing. Do you….actually taste like chocolate?”
