Sebastian Ellington-Aragona

His Royal Highness, Prince of Italy

The once young Englishman had been groomed from that aristocracy from a distinctly young age. He attended only the best schools, he spent hours with those books to ensure his marks remained particularly high, even amongst his higher ranked peerage. The epitome of his family's very dreams for him, once he'd announced his lack of interest in taking up that war effort, had been to gain that position of Master of the Rolls, as his kinsman once had, at the very least. He had been near primed for that very role. His life was meant to serve the Queen, not to step into the very ranks of royalty himself. Sebastian knew well that such a position within the monarchy was hardly all of the glitz and glamour that modern media liked to portray, after all, he'd seen firsthand the decisions Dorian had to make. To be called upon to rule a country was...certainly daunting, to say the least. It had been with some hesitance that, behind closed doors, Sebastian had admitted his own uncertainty for his ability to fulfill that very role and yet, Dorian seemed all but determined to believe that he was right for that very title.

That anxiety must surely have been visible upon his features as he turned to face the Italian Monarch and the Bishop of Rome. That warm grin upon Dorian's features of utter glee almost had a fashion of making him feel guilty for the nerves that still filled his system as Dorian plucked the first item that would be his - to declare his own position as royalty. It was, however, those softly uttered words of reassurance that brought that simper back to his features, those very words mirroring his own but several moments ago. Breathe and everything would be okay. Dorian wouldn't leave him alone to flounder in this, and, besides, he had every intention of leaving the majority of that ruling with the King himself. It was those very attempts to assure himself that contributed to that tone of confidence within the Englishman’s voice at that very first inquiry. That ring slid onto his finger with particular ease, as if it was near made for the vampire. That second question of so representing the very law and justice of Italy was one that easily fit within the lawyer’s realm, even if he had quite near promised to brush up on his knowledge of Italian law, as unnecessary as Dorian had assured him it was. This question, however, was too easily answered as he was presented with that ceremonial sword. It was that final object that so brought the Englishman the most unease if only for the simple fact that this one truly represented that newfound title. He was unaware, truly, that even Dorian had caught onto his unease as those two simple words fell from his lips after that brief hesitation. No sooner had those words left his lips before that crown was placed upon his head, finally bequeathing the man that final position as Prince.

Sebastian could hardly help that relief that so invaded him the moment that coronation was over and Dorian was back at his side. That singular moment of their wedding was the one that had worried the vampire the most. Everything else was somehow sweeter, now that his anxiety was abated. That soft simper tugged at his features as Dorian’s hand fit within his once more, the pair finally turned to face the crowd at large - not as King and Consort, not as fiance’s, but, finally, as husbands. The applause only further served to bring that near boyish grin to life, the swell of that music was a near unspoken sign that the pair were finally allowed to leave that church. It was only with that small dip of Dorian’s head that Sebastian led the way back up the aisle. He was hardly as attentive to those guests as he had been upon his initial arrival, the vampire entirely pleased to leave that cathedral that had begun to press upon his heightened senses. He had hardly truly expected the roar of the crowd that filled his ears the moment the newlyweds stepped from that cathedral, the vampire almost grateful for that gilded carriage that so awaited them. It’s very appearance was nothing short of regal and so entirely like what he knew his lover’s own preferences tended to be.

He watched with decided care as Dorian stepped up and into that carriage, the man making every effort to assist with that train all the while. It was only once he was assured that cape was secure that he so effortlessly joined his husband upon that plush seat. His own bright blue eyes shifted at the sound of those hooves as the mounted unit so shifted to accompany them on that route back to the palace. That return home was quite near a parade in sheer size and yet, even that hadn’t quite prepared him for the sheer number of people that seemed to fill every obtainable corner of that meticulously planned route. That idle comment upon his lover’s lips at the sheer size of those crowds, however, brought a small snort to his nose. “It seems rather like all of Italy.” He commented, knowing very well he was being a touch over dramatic and yet, that sea of faces was simply so utterly vast. Even so, Sebastian did his best to play his part, providing them with that gracious smile and the occasional wave. By the time those palace gates arose, Sebastian had to admit to himself that he could hardly be happier. Though the man was not truly introverted by nature, the mere sound and sight of….well, all of them had a habit of being overwhelming.

The Palace itself, however, was hardly any better. The estate was a near flurry of activity, the staff near immediately descending upon the pair the moment that carriage slid to a stop before the front doors. He was hardly surprised with the way Emma seemed eager to rush them from one event to the next, even though the Englishman wanted little more than the rest of the evening’s festivities to be over just to have the entirety of Dorian’s attention to himself. Nevertheless, he accepted those congratulations as graciously as ever, the man hardly even protesting as Emma tried to corral them upwards and towards that balcony in which they would, customarily, share their first public kiss. For all the poor woman’s fretting and fussing, that wedding party seemed particularly slow to assemble, not that Sebastian held any complaint of that momentary break. Rather, he was all too content to simply linger closer towards his lover as they waited for the rest of those party members to assemble before those French double doors. Dorian’s voice briefly drew the vampire’s gaze towards him, the very memory of just all who we were watching certainly served to put some pressure upon Sebastian’s shoulders, even if he knew well Dorian was merely teasing. Still, this was something he was rather certain he was capable of doing well. “I’m ready.” He commented with a slight roll to those blue eyes.

He trailed behind the King as Dorian led them out onto that stage, that position upon the balcony afforded them quite the view of that crowd and just how far it seemed to go. The streets of Italy would certainly never quite be like this again. That cheer that so filled them at the mere sight of the newlyweds only further served to surprise him and yet, given the number Emma had given them, maybe he shouldn’t be. It was only that shift of Dorian’s figure at his side that drew his attention, that warm simper upon his lips certainly served to inform him of exactly what the King’s intention was. His lips readily met Dorian’s own, that kiss too equally as fleeting and chaste as the one within the church, particularly when Sebastian desired so much more from the man. A part of him was aware of the crowd’s reaction in response to that gesture of affection and yet, his eyes were but once again for Dorian alone. The man’s soft whisper prompted a warm simper upon his own features. “Mmm, I think I liked it.” He muttered softly in return, only for the vampire to turn near regrettably back towards that crowd. His own hand lifted, providing them with those small waves they so sought, and too that view of the new royal family.

It was hardly long before Emma was ushering the pair inside and yet, even Sebastian knew well that any peace that gained would hardly last long. In fact, it was little more than a few seconds before they were being ushered out and into the gardens for those wedding photographs and yet, Sebastian certainly wasn’t one to complain. To immortalize this very evening was somehow….special, important even. After all, it wasn’t as if either man intended to get married again. Any token they might have to so remember today by was graciously accepted, even if it required posing with his new found family. Though the man was willing to acknowledge the need for those photos, even he relished in those quiet moment when Benito finally allowed them a moment of time alone before that reception begun.

A soft breath left his lips as that door closed behind the adviser. For a moment, he was content to watch Dorian as the man toyed with the fastening of that cape, only for his attention to deviate to that sword upon his hip. It had been so strikingly long since he had worn any such piece that the whole thing felt terribly awkward. That sword was pulled from his own belt loops, that crown plucked off his head and both pieces were so carefully laid down on that sofa before him. That soft sound of his name upon Dorian’s lips near immediately pulled at his attention. “Hm?” He inquired as he turned, the fae King hardly giving him much time before near abruptly closing that distance only to throw his arms around Sebastian’s neck. He could hardly help that grin that resurfaced upon his features as his hands settled upon his lover’s waist, embracing him in the fashion he so liked to do. That sudden press of Dorian’s lips against his own were warmly welcomed, the Englishman entirely content to deepen that steamy kiss that he had so wanted from his husband ever since he had gained permission to kiss his groom. His tongue so tenderly ran across Dorian’s lip, the vampire fully intending to take advantage of those few moments they had together.

He hardly wanted that kiss to end. Quite on the contrary, Sebastian momentarily toyed with the idea of simply skipping their reception altogether in favor of that wedding night. How he yearned for that closeness! To feel Dorian’s skin against his own! He was hesitant to allow his lover to lean away from him and yet, after another stolen moment, Sebastian finally let that kiss end. A soft chuckle left his lips at Dorian’s admittance as to exactly what he had been doing upon the aisle, his head shook ever so slightly. “I was curious about that, you made me worried you were regretting this, Ma Bichette.” He commented softly, only to lean forward to steal another far more fleeting kiss. “Are you sure they can’t have the reception without us?” Sebastian whined, even if that question was near rhetorical in nature. “I want you…” His voice trailed off, the man quite purposefully leaving out exactly what he desired if only for the simple fact that, surely, neither needed such thoughts lingering upon their mind when there was still socializing to be done. If only!.
