    Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. Although these houses are somewhat small (often two to three bedrooms) they feature back yards, porches, garages and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and for the neighborhood as a whole.

    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
Abigail felt absolutely amazing. She knew, vaguely, that something surely contributed to that light, airy, sleepy feeling that had so invaded her but the young woman was far too lost to it to care much. After all, she had a wonderfully exciting evening and it was already super duper late. Surely, that was all that this was, right? It certainly seemed reasonable enough to her. A small frown crossed her lips at that slight wobble on her heels as she stepped outside of that fancy home. Maybe she was more tired then she had thought, walking in heels was so hard. She didn’t know how the fancy women in the tv shows and movies did it all the time. But they did make her feel pretty and she had wanted to look pretty for Arlo tonight. He had said she looked nice too, hadn’t he? That was like...a super wonderful success. He liked her pretty dress and that had taken like...forever to find. Now she just had to get home in one piece and her evening would be all complete! Thank goodness she had tomorrow free of like....any plans. Oh my god, sleep sounded sooooo good. A small yawn crossed her lips, the girl wholly ignorant of the way Arlo watched her. In fact, it wasn’t until that soft touch of his hand against her arm that her gaze turned towards him, only to present the man with a warm grin.

Her head bobbed in an eager response to that inquiry. “It was, I had fun! Thank you for inviting me, Arlo.” Even despite that near giddy, tired state, the girl remained ever polite, just as her parents had taught her. Though this was but the second evening they had spent together in her human form, she really did want him to want to spend more time with her. She wanted him to like her as more than just a cute pet to carry around. Abigail truly did want them to be super best friends, just as she wanted Sebastian and Dorian to be her close friends too. Hopefully, they enjoyed themselves just as well. Hopefully, everyone had a good evening and then they could all do dinner again! Though maybe without all that secretive whispering. The vampires seemed like they had quite a lot to talk about early on, and Dorian had been more than content to tease her of her affections for Arlo, going so far as to ask if they would share a room in Italy! The sheer thought of it all made that pink hue once again return to her cheeks. Still, she couldn’t deny that he was wrong about her feelings....could she?

Such thoughts were interrupted only by that inquiry of her thoughts on Arlo’s friends. Her gaze easily refocused upon the man as they slowly made their way down that pebbled path, those rocks crunching beneath her heels. This was kind of dangerous. “He didn’t wear a crown,” Abigail stated quite abruptly. It was that which made Dorian almost seem....normal. She had quite near forgotten altogether that he was a King. He seemed more like a model like his father than royalty. “I liked them both though, do you think they liked us?” She inquired with a touch of concern to her sweet lyrics. Hopefully they had been okay with the couple’s less than royal demeanor. She tried to be a proper lady tonight but....now that she thought back on it, maybe she had been too loud in her insistence of Dorian’s eyes. A small frown crossed her lips at the memory of it, one that surely only increased to a veritable pout as they approached those gates and that thinning crowd. She super duper didn’t like this part. She didn’t like all the pressing around them, the girl altogether content to near cling to Arlo, her grip tightened on his hand as he dragged them through that dwindling press.

A soft breath of relief left her lips as Arlo pulled them onto the sidewalk outside of those fancy homes and away from the press. Even she hardly noticed the fact that her hand was still nestled within Arlo’s own. She equally thought particularly little of the man’s sudden release of her, though that small nervous gesture of his hand running through his hair had caught her attention. He seemed like he wanted to say something to her. Her teeth bit the bottom of her lip in a small glimpse of nervousness and yet, the woman hardly saw a reason to force him before he was ready. Rather, she fell into her own sort of silence as her gaze turned downwards, focusing on her steps. He wasn’t mad at her, right? This amount of silence was abnormal for Arlo, even when she was a Red Panda, except for when they were watching TV. Hm...

Those sudden words drew the young woman’s gaze, that hesitance quite clear in his voice before he uttered those simple words that always meant something bad - at least, in all the movies anyways. The ‘we need to talk’ thing. Even despite her concern, the young girl slowly nodded. “Okay...” She uttered softly, pausing in her step only for those hazel eyes to turn attentively towards him. That inquiry caught the young woman off guard and yet, it was painfully clear, even to her, that Arlo requires some kind of reassurance. Did he think she didn’t like him? Had she done something to make him think that? Her head slowly nodded in confirmation, “Of course I had a good time Arlo. Don’t we always have a good time?” She inquired with a hint of worry, her hands folded almost demurely in front of her. “Is everything okay? Did you not have fun tonight? We don’t have to go back again if you don’t want to....”
