    The South

Although the southern parts of the city might not have the luxuries of the north or the down town vibe of the east, but these suburbs still have their own sort of charm. Here small neighborhood owned shops often run rampant, individuals often know each other by first name. The west is a quaint, quiet part of town. It's the sort of place where children can be seen playing safely on the sidewalks and clamoring in the park. On the weekends in the families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters that surround the city.

    Hyde Park

    Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

    The Outskirts

    The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often times seen as a way to guard this magical city from the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

The Macedonian King was well aware of the distinctly red hue that all but dominated the poor girl's cheeks. It was not like him, usually, to be so demeaning upon a soul for their ignorance. The woman's obliviousness to the world around her while attempting to care for those unlike her caused him some measure of frustration if only for the fact that she was capable of harming both herself and her patients. It was quite near negligence on the part of the her medical school to even let her begin her residency without some idea of what she might encounter on the job. His lips pressed together with that clear frown, that sudden effort to change the topic by inquiring his own needs, however, took the man off guard. After all, the young woman had experienced her own fair share of fear and adrenaline in that encounter with the undead. She seemed equally as pale and exhausted as Alexander surely did and yet, still she seemed determined to put the man first. It was absolutely absurd, really, considering her species' vulnerability when so compared to the Dark Hunter's own infinitely long lifespan and particular heartiness. He almost felt guilty, really, at that almost defeated hunch to her shoulders as he informed the woman that he was beyond her assistance.

His gaze remained steady upon her at that near exasperated sigh that left her lips. His words finally seemed to slowly sink in as she suddenly inquired what he meant by 'mortality'. His head shook ever so slightly at that inquiry. "No, I am not." He responded simply, hardly feeling the need to inform the girl of exactly how old he truly was. Few people truly believed the historic figure was sitting in front of them, at least, not at first. It had become near habitual now, to hide his identity to some degree. Even though the age old King still retained that English version of his proper name, few associated it with the Macedonian strategist of old. That comment of his appearance prompted a near quick rebuttal from the man, even if he was mostly teasing her rather than truly chiding the woman. That distinction, however, was clearly blurred as those cheeks once again flushed into a bright red hue. A soft sigh left his lips at that sudden stuttering. Alexander shook his head ever so slightly, "It's fine, I was just teasing you." He pointed out, at least attempting to reduce that clear embarrassment he had caused within the girl.

Unfortunately, it hardly seemed to be enough to soothe her. Soon enough, she was on her feet, wobbling at that exhaustion within her as she near fell. He reached out towards her, that action far too sluggish to be of any true help only for the woman to wave him off. A soft sigh left his lips as she so persistently continued onwards for that blanket, ignoring her own needs in the process. His gaze followed her as she moved back towards him, only to toss that very blanket she had retrieved onto Alexander himself. That pillow tucked behind his head only caused the man to stare up at her with a near baffled look to his features. It wasn't as if he was dying or anything nearly as dramatic. This was all almost...too much. Still, she was clearly quite concerned for his welfare and if this was what made the young woman content then he had no reason to dissuade her. At the very least maybe she would finally sit down and rest now.

"Thank you." He uttered softly to her explanation, those blue-green eyes entirely content to watch her as she kicked off her own shoes and curled up on the sofa beside him. That inquiry as to what he was prompted the Dark Hunter to pause, the man clearly looking for some parallel line to draw to soften that truth of what he was - a murderer of the supernatural. He watched that frown that crossed the corner of her lips and yet, it was hardly abnormal for that desire to return to that state of ignorance she had once existed within. Alexander said little in response to her desires, however, the Hunter entirely certain she knew such was an impossibility. Rather, he watched as she slid closer towards him till her very body was pressed against his. That inquiry to clean that wound prompted a small roll to his eyes as her fingers reached out to brush against his neck. "All right, princess. If it would make you feel better, you can do whatever you desireā€¦.it's not like I can stop you." Alexander responded with a small grin settled on his lips. Well, it was mostly true, that venom certainly put him terribly at a disadvantage and left the man entirely within her care. If it resulted in a cleaned neck and a bandaid, it certainly wasn't the worst he'd ever experienced.
