    The West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a certain grunge that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, instead letting the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

    Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark appears to be little more than an abandoned cargo ship. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.

‘Gentle’ was perhaps not the best of the boys qualities. That initial press decidedly soft, the car rolling forward beneath his guidance and yet that single moment seemed to instil a far more potent confidence in the boy. Tobias pressing his barefoot down abruptly more forcefully only to have that car lurch forward far more violently. That shaggy-haired deviant and his companion were both flung back against their seats. Tobias gripping the steering wheel as Tetradore gripped the door of the car in that momentary fear. The boy having the sense to slam his foot back against the break and jerk them forward with the same violence once more. His features readily scowled then. The boy promptly declaring that car a bitch. His ability to remember and indeed- correctly employ those cuss words so seemingly remarkable when his ability to assist in washing dishing or cleaning the Ark so often seemed to suddenly limit his comprehension of words at all. Tetradore alone, perhaps, far more aware of his capabilities than any other and yet- the man so hardly ever sought to call him out upon it. The pair often content to retreat to Tetradore’s room and those games, leaving others to tidy up in their wake.

It was that soft urging to try again that saw the boy creep gently forward once more, his foot pressed almost warily against that pedal now, letting the car creep slowly forward. The young man entirely too hesitant to go much faster than that walking pace and yet, the car circling successfully several times now. That look of sheer delight painting his features before promptly declaring he had all but mastered driving now- Tetradore leaning over to straighten up that car and send them in a straight line before making some effort to explain the concept of lanes. It was that very mention of lines that seemed to draw the boys interest to begin with. Lines, after all, were one of his most favoured things. Tobias shifting that car to drive atop that very line as he believed Tetradore had requested of him, that grin touching his lips once more as he completed that imagined goal. The boy remarkably skilled at following that very line until the idea that he was requited to change lines when it became dashed prompted a moment of consideration. The newfound idea hardly seemed to take even a moment to comprehend within him, Tobias effortlessly weaving that car in and out of those lines now. The leopard seeming to possess far more control of that vehicle then perhaps originally thought, at least, when he had lines to follow and a guidance of sorts.

That first turn saw his hands grip that wheel far more tightly, the boy slowing attempting to ease that car around it, following that line- at least until that line stopped entirely, panic readily seeming to set in as his foot pushed against that accelerator, sending the car forward and onto that grass strip rather than the road. Those shouts echoing from the boy now along with that exclamation from Tetradore himself, the emerald-eyed man leaning suddenly over to grip that wheel and turn them back onto the road, attempting to steer them back to where they had started as Tobias released the wheel obediently to him- before that command to put his foot on the break saw Tobias at last comply and jerk them to a halt once more. The Leopards own breath was decidedly unsteady, his hair itself very near seeming to stand on end in an almost cat-like fashion. This driving business more….difficult then he had anticipated. That comment that they were going to try again seeing his own dark eyes cut sideways and towards his companion.

“I am…..bad at it.”

For Tobias to so readily admit he was ‘bad’ at something was decidedly rare. That hesitance seeming to mark his features now as he eyed that road once more with contemplation and whether or not he truly desired to try it again. It was the very notion, perhaps, that it was Tetradore alone whom requested it off him that saw the deviant at least willing to try. His patience for his favoured companion far more significant than it often was for any other being. His head at last nodding before allowing that car to creep forward again and towards the impending turn. His foot lifted from that accelerator then, hovering above the break, the boy seeming to have anticipated some sort of incident once more, that car barely moving now as he allowed that wheel to turn. Slowly. Almost painfully slowly. The car so at last beginning to ease its way around that bend even despite the near glacial pace at which they were moving. Tobias fearing to go any faster it seemed. The vehicle successfully crawling around that bend then before coming to a stop on the straight.

“I….did it!”

The joy in that declaration was surely clear, that grin upon his features flashing within the gloom of the car, the very idea that he had been going so slow the car had stopped hardly seemed to occur to him. That first turn having been completed. The boy allowing that car to progress forward once more now and along that straight again, another turn awaiting them at the end of this road. His hands gripping that wheel firmly still as he glanced towards his companion, seeking some measure of approval from his best friend. After all, terribly little mattered to Tobias outside Tetradore’s opinion. A part of the deviant determined to impress him in some fashion. Those words of praise utterly cherished when they came. The boy content to drive right on that line once more, allowing that speed to increase just a little.

“Your…..friend……came to see….you. You were not….home.”

Such words were entirely sudden, as if the boy had only just remembered them, his features frowning as his eyes remained on that road all the same. Those stuttered words coming again but a moment later in some further effort to describe this ‘friend’ Tetradore had so apparently missed when he had left the Ark several nights ago to take one of the cars to be looked at. Tobias so having guarded the Ark and watched over those fights for those few hours his companion had been gone. This the first mention he had made of anyone having come to visit the emerald eyed man specifically. Tobias, oddly, so hardly seeming alarmed by such a visitor all the same.

“He….talks funny….but maybe…..I like him.”

That this was somehow supposed to be more descriptive was evidently clear. The more curious part of that sentence perhaps the very idea that Tobias had liked someone. The boy inclined to dislike almost everyone for reasons both real and imagined. Tobias entirely fierce when in defending their territory- especially within Tetradore’s absence. His features frowned once more at that approaching corner, the car slowing right down again to a crawl once more as he eased it around perhaps a little faster than the last time. That grin adorning his features again.

“I want to….go backwards now like…Tetra does.”

Because clearly he was ready for reversing.
