    The West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a certain grunge that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, instead letting the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

    Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark appears to be little more than an abandoned cargo ship. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.

When others had basically left her as sheltered and too much work, Frost had been the one to spend time with her and try things her way, fight her for the chance to earn her respect because he knew it was what she understood. He had shown patience where others just grew frustrated with her. He was a good mentor, whether he knew it or not. He had ways of getting through to her that others didn't know or think to use. She liked that he was opening up to her, telling her more about himself. It took away some of the mystery that led her not to fully trust him. The more the learned about him, the more she felt she could trust him to know about her. He at least admitted she was the first to master shifting that fast. She grinned, holding her head high at the achievement. "Hell yeah, I am." She agreed with a smirk. She didn't care if something made it easier for her to shift. She still felt it was determination that drove her to shift easier.

She followed him into the kitchen, all too aware of the surprise that flickered in his eyes when she agreed to stay for dinner. She liked surprising him, smirking behind his back as she followed behind him. He looked for something in the fridge before deciding on the pork chops and she asked him about touching it. He told her basically it would be rude to make her get her own food when he was the one asking her to stay for dinner. Then he explained that he was a vegetarian because he had to be, not because he believed in animal rights. She snorted. "I would hope so cause I'm definitely not opposed to killing pigs or cows. You mean you've never met a WereHorse that eats meat? Or any Were prey animal that does?" She was curious, the light sparkling in her eyes.

He tossed the meat in the pan and it surprised her. She'd never actually seen meat cooked before so she thought he was just trying to burn the meat like it burnt her. She reached for the meat without thinking and burned her fingers, hurriedly pulling them in her mouth as he turned to her. She heard his sigh but he didn't look angry. He calmly explained that he was heating up the meat, not burning it, saying something about heat exchange that she didn't quite get all of but she understood the gist of it. Then he asked for her hand. She gave him the one with burned fingers, not hesitating because he was her alpha and it didn't seem like an unreasonable command. At least if he burned her hand, it would be the already wounded hand so she would still have a good free hand to defend herself with. She was still a survivor in mindset. He took her hand and then she felt something....odd.

Her hand was tingling, but not in a bad way. She gasped, her brows rising as she looked from her hand to him. When he released her hand, she hurriedly looked at it, amazed to find her burns healed. What the...? She gazed at him in wonder. Another power, it would seem. Then he grabbed the plates and put utensils next to her plate, giving her a look that definitely said not to use her hands. She scowled, huffing before she reached for the knife and fork. She stared at both before watching the way he stabbed his own salad when he sat down. She stabbed the porkchop the same way, hearing the crunch sound as she made the fork split right through the bone thanks to her strength affinity. Thinking nothing of it, she turned the knife over but he wasn't using one of those so she stared down at her porkchop for a minute before she put down the knife and held the whole porkchop up with her fork and started to chew pieces off of it. Must be the way it worked. Makes sense.

He told her if she wanted it cooked more, just to let him know and she shook her head as she chewed and swallowed. "No, it tastes amazing like this! I wouldn't change a thing." She grinned as she took another bite. Then he told her not to eat raw in human form and she scowled when he said it would make her sick. "Never has before. Is the human form weaker or something?" She had never thought about that before. Then he told her to cut bite sized pieces and she scowled. "How? By stabbing it? I don't see that working." Then he brought up hunting a Hunter and told her he looked forward to seeing what she could do. She smirked, anticipating showing him all her skills in due time.
