    The West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a certain grunge that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, instead letting the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

    Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark appears to be little more than an abandoned cargo ship. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.

    Warehouse District

The warehouse district rests just upon the harbor within the city. Many of the warehouses belong to corporate companies although some are used for less the legal means. Be careful when wandering this district at night for many groups meet within those dark, dilapidated buildings. There are also whispers of hard to obtain goods being sold behind those closed doors but you have to know who's who to get an in!

we built this city on broken glass

He had never understood those….human morals. At least not those made of foolish notions that animals somehow possessed feelings akin to those of humankind. A cow hardly knew it had been born to die, just as a lion cared little for the opinions of sheep. Animals ate and were eaten in turn. Those human ideals did nothing save for make the human themselves feel better. As if eating only plants somehow made them more worthy of life in turn. As if farming those very crops did not kill animals and ruin habitat in turn. Frost hardly cared what one being ate and one did not so provided they didn’t preach about it to others. He didn’t damn well care. His mind near convinced those that held onto beliefs of superiority in any fashion were merely fools. Nature was harsh, nature was cruel. It was simply the way it was. Pretending to live cruelty-free was a delusion. Malia seeming to readily understand that very idea and yet he readily suspected she would. It was the law of the wild. Eat or be eaten. The very law the woman had grown up with as he himself had in one way or another. Frost turning his attention back to that meal as he made it, the man affording her a momentarily curious glance at that question on meat-eating Werehorses or Were-prey animals for that matter. Frost himself, once, having been curious about that very thing. His head shaking lightly.

“I think most Were-prey animals are capable of eating meat. I think the reason for my own specific diet comes from the fact myself, both my parents, their parents before them and their parents before them and so on were all born WereHorses. The equine bloodline in my family is so long I simply believe we lost the ability to actually eat meat. It is genetic. The place I come from, the place I was born, does not offer us meat either so we learned how to survive without it. Our bodies simply no longer need it or tolerate it. I spent so long as a horse as a child my body is more inclined to it- I think.”

It was the most logical reason he could think to offer her and the one he himself had considered in those moments he had been given to think on it at all. That combination of genetic and circumstances resulting in his own vegetarian diet. One he had lived with all his life and hardly knew any different. The woman suddenly reaching for the pan was unanticipated, Malia snatching her fingers back hurriedly as Frost merely sighed. His own hand extended to take her fingers, that affinity summoned readily to remove that burn from her with that simple caution and that basic explanation on why the pan was hot at all. If anything she would learn not to do it again.

That almost gasp of surprise as she examined her healed hand was met with little more than that quirk off his lip as he easily organised those plates and cutlery, serving the woman those still-rare chops before placing that salad in front of himself and helping himself to it. His violet gaze lifted briefly upward at the sound off her fork splitting that bone. Well. That was impressive. Frost crunching down on another lettuce leaf before attempting to prompt the woman to use her knife and fork along with that easy reminder not to eat meat raw, at least, not in her human form. Malia proceeding to stab that entire chip with her fork and lift it to her lips to tear pieces off. Well- she was using the fork, he supposed.

“Good, I’m glad you enjoy it and yes, that is a way to think of it I suppose. There are some foods, like candy, that your human form will eat better and some that your animal form will. Raw meat does not do well in a human stomach. As for cutting it- here. I’ll show you.”

If she intended to be successful in this human world then he intended to show her how. Whether she chose to take in those lessons was up to her, Frost leaning over then to take that knife and fork from her, putting one in each hand before stabbing that pork chop again, holding it in place with the fork, only to begin slicing that piece off. Once it was removed he simply placed the fork in that piece he had cut off, displaying that bite-sized piece before returning the cutlery and plate to Malia.

“Humans will judge you when you eat- it is something they do. The more you practice though the better at it you will get. Besides those knives can be useful weapons too. A human version of claws I suppose. Learning to use it will do you no harm. I was planning on working tonight but I might watch a movie instead. Human movies baffle me, you are welcome to be baffled with me if you’d like, otherwise feel free to go out if you see fit.”
