East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Malek Ackerman

You're my water. You're my wine.

The way the small vampire challenged him causes a wide grin to stretch across his features, Malek can't help but enjoy a good debate. Patting her hand softly with his own, he halts them in their progress to look down at Chizue. "I've never heard of such a legend and I can't say I've ever had the pleasure of meeting one let alone seeing one," he states before continuing, "Let me ask you this, Chizue, there are vampires, witches, warlocks, were-folk, faeries, and so much more. Why couldn't dragons have existed long ago? It's very possible, though I have no firm evidence to give you, I have lived a very long time and there are many stories. Some are sure to be false but some could be true," Malek finishes with a slight shrug a soft smile before tugging her along again.

When she offers her joke, Mal can't help but release a bellowing laugh, "Hmm, I certainly do like brie, perhaps I'm a dragon," he teases her as the continue to stroll through the vendors. When they stop again to briefly address his hunger, Malek can't help but inspect the woman as she looks away from him, a sort of guiltiness engulfed her and her furrows his brows in concern. Retracting his hand from her, the vampire didn't want to intrude in her space and when she speaks, Mal narrows his eyes slightly, "Do not feel guilty about wanting to please your friends, do, however, make sure you please yourself as well," he smiles again at her scratching his chin.

When they finally make it to the food vendors, Malek is entirely caught up in all the colorful food that he doesn't immediately note the way Chizue halts in conversation, his attention is only brought back to her when she apologizes abruptly and hauls him quickly through the crowds. Confused, he watches her carefully, briefly wondering if she was running from someone, the vampire seemed entirely focused on something. Glancing behind him to see if they were being followed, he notes no one of interest and instead goes back to inspecting the small Asian woman.

She was quite attractive, lithe, small, shy and Malek couldn't help but think she was rather cute at the way she focused onto something so fully. He's about to comment on it when he brings them to a halt a few blocks away, the parade noises fading in the distance. Brows shooting up at her comment, he coughs slightly uncomfortable, as he takes a hand and rubs the back of his neck, "Ah, Chizue, I um, don't eat humans unless they specifically ask me to bite them," he admits, looking away, not wanting to embarrass the girl.

When she untangles herself from his arm, he snatches her hand back as he notices the way she looks at the blonde woman across the street. He wouldn't call it envy written in those eyes of hers, something else entirely. The woman seemed to have shrunk in size, as if she were defeated by a human woman's looks. Tugging on her hand to get her attention, he tilts his head, just barely, a soft smile playing on his lips as he brings her hand gently to his lips, kissing it. "I think you're beautiful, my dear."

You're my whiskey. From time to time.
