East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

That brush of those genteel fingertips against her skin caused the young woman to halt immediately within her tracks, her cheeks flushing a bright pink at that simple touch. Though Malek was hardly the first man to speak to her within the city, or the first to accompany her, he was the first to even lay a single finger upon her porcelain flesh in a very long time. The girl was all too attentive to those words he provided her with, her head bobbing ever so slightly in understanding before she offered him a soft whisper, "I....I don't think your barbaric...." She knew well that even she was rather atypical, as far as vampires went. Even Damon, she knew, had, at times, relished in the hunt. Chizue herself had killed but once before, entirely accidental and yet, the whole process had been horrifying enough to scar the girl for the eternity of her undead life. That beam she was offered only caused the young woman to duck her head even further as he offered her his arm once again. Gingerly, her hands encircled the muscles of his forearm, all too aware of the surely fit figure that lay beneath that clothing.

She allowed herself to be led back to the festival, her efforts to so satisfy his hunger thwarted by her own eagerness and yet, in spite of that still lingering embarrassment, she found herself still offering her cupped hands for that dumpling he placed within her palms. Delicately, with those chocolate eyes turned more towards the ground then the world around her, much less the man at her side, the young woman nibbled upon that dough and it's delectable filling within. She trailed after the man as he gestured towards that bench, the young woman settling at his side only to find that singular question she so detested on his lips. Her gaze turned upwards towards him but briefly, only for the girl to bite on her lip in consideration of providing him the answers he so sought. The girl was wholly oblivious of the way in which he so watched that nervous behavior, aware only of those words that began to fall from her lips but moments after. How she hated that truth whilst he so effortlessly accepted being different.

In turn, he easily seemed to accept her own natural peculiarity, further insisting she had little reason to find fault in what she was. It was a touching sentiment, truly, yet her culture had long ago impressed within her that conforming to the norm was an altogether desirable trait within any young woman. Those years of conditioning surely could not be undone by one simple statement from a certainly attractive man. She offered him a weak simper as he continued on and yet, that apology she was given with brushed off all too quickly. "No, it's okay, really." Chizue uttered, smiling in spite of the uncertainty that still afflicted her. She hardly expected, however, the compliment that fell from his lips, the girl ducking her head almost habitually at those softly spoken words of her beauty. Really, she doubted it was quite as magnificent as he made her out to be, however, it was hardly polite to argue such a point.

That soft sigh and accompanying brush of his hand against her's drew her gaze upwards, the woman willingly allowing herself to be pulled to her feet as that very mention of dawn saw her gaze turn towards the horizon. Really, it was quite unlike her to be out so late, the woman usually tucked away in her bedroom with still hours to spare. She had hardly expected for her evening to go quite like this at all. It was that soft brush of his lips against her skin that drew her gaze, that blushing smile once again blossoming to life on the Asian girl's fair features. Her head bobbed ever so slightly as she slowly pulled her hand away, offering the man a slight inclination of a bow that was so appropriate from her own culture. "Yes, I would like that, thank you. It was a pleasure meeting you Malek....I hope to do so again." Those words fell sweetly from her lips, the girl simply standing there for some time whilest she watched him leave her before turning on her feet to nearly run down the street and back to the safety of her own room.
