East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The sun was dipping down, and showing the world its many hues of pink, yellow, red and orange upon the light cloudy sky.
Street lights flickered on one by one, and the air grew cooler to the skin â€" Like frigid hands of one of who'd been embraced by the chill of cold air.
Donning a black leather jacket, a button up black shirt with royal dark blue slacks that gently hugged his hips and legs just right, and a pair of black canvas shoes with the laces hidden under the slacks, Killian was taking in the night life of his neighborhood.

After being in town for just awhile, he never really got the chance to see what it was like at night, and there was no better opportunity than the present. Killian softly inhaled the night air; That pleasant smell of clean air, mixed with the crispness of the chilled autumn air, as well as the various smells of restaurants and stores using scents to attract customers indoors.
Killian though, was looking for one thing in particular in this part of town â€" The one thing he recalled visiting a lot while he was back in Ireland; A pub. A place he could sit down and enjoy a drink and the company of a new face to chat with.

Scanning every storefront and building he came across, there was one place that caught his attention right off the bat after a good ten minutes of window shopping.
He stopped in front of the building and stared with his emerald orbs widely; The smell, the vibe and the aura all were perfectly how he imagined it would be. Although it was not familiar to him in the slightest, he somehow felt like he had been here before. Like he had been to this place called "Red on the Water" many times.

"Well, ya certainly have caught me attention now. Let's see if ya got exactly what I'm lookin' for."
Killian said aloud to himself, as he adjust the collar of his jacket, and stepped forward. Twisting the handle of the door, he showed himself inside Red on the Water.
Instantly, he felt like he had been teleported back home.
He couldn't help but draw a smile across his scruffy face as he walked away from the entrance, and towards the bar.

Hovering over the seats for a moment, his eyes caught sight of a dark and sharply dressed bar keep, polishing glasses with an pristine white cloth and setting them in their respective placeholders.
Killian sat down at last, as the light brown haired bar keep turned to him as she smiled at him.
"You're a new face here. Never seen you before. Welcome to Red on the Water; Got a name stranger?"
She asked Killian as adjusted his posture and placed his arms on the counter top and placed his hands together.

"Me names Killian. Pleasure to meet ya. Lovely place this one... Reminds me a lot of home. I love it."
He would reply with cheer in his voice, and his eyes beaming with a great amount of glow.
The female smiled and turned her head to the side a little bit.
"Ah! This one has an accent I hear. Irish at that. Glad you like the place, we styled it to be a mix of an Irish Pub and our modern style of town. But I'm sure you're not here to chat up the bar keep the whole time. What you drinking tonight good sir?"

She asked Killian inquisitively as he pulled his wallet out and revealed his identification card in a normal fashion.
With a few seconds of thought drawn on his face that was accompanied with ruffled eyebrows, Killian flashed a smile and perked up.
"Think I'll have me an Ol' Fashion if you please."
He requested to her, as she nodded to Killian and pulled out the bottles of alcohol, flavoring and the mixer for it all.
Killian watched her as she used her skill and charm to put on a show for him.

Such was a thing to do when you are a bartender. You always want to be charismatic to customers, and get a little flashy while mixing their drink they ordered â€" Bar Tending 101.
Within a minute, she poured his drink into a crystal glass and served it to him on a coaster while smiling.
"You need anything else Killian?"
In was in the moment, that he stopped himself from taking a sip of his drink. He wanted to do something he had always done back home at the pub he frequented.

"Pour a glass of your finest whiskey for the next lad or lass that comes on in. On the rocks if ya please."
Without another word from the barkeep, she pulled out an expensive looking bottle and poured the smooth, dark liquid onto the ice in the crystal glass.
She served it the same way she always had, and put it in front of the seat to the left Killian.
He thanked her with a tip from his wallet, and took a small sip of his drink and sat quietly.
He kept his signature smile, and waited ever so patiently for the stranger that would walk through the door.
