East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She can't help but allow her features to become crestfallen at the mention of her mother. As Ludo offers her condolences, she looks up at him, affording him a warm smile. "Thank you," she says before moving on, "She was a wonderful woman, very gentle and loving, but man could she be scary. She was this tiny little woman who refused to take no for an answer, she had such a beautiful soul," Miya describes her mother, pain dancing in her eyes though she can't help the small smile that etches onto her lips at the memories. As Ludo again offers warm words, she grins at him, dipping her head in thanks just as her stomach roars in anger for not being fed. Blushing furiously, she places a hand over her stomach before she orders the same meal he does, attempting to ignore is snicker.

Happy to move their conversation on, she drinks at her beer, quickly gulping it down, pleased to bring forth a look of astonishment on the Italian man's face. And still their conversation moves onward as they discuss the city and how very cramped it was. Frowning slightly at him, she shrugs her shoulders softly, "You get used to it, I promise," she smiles, affording him an encouraging nod before she orders two more beers, hardly catching the look of surprise on Ludo's features. Quickly finishing off her beer, she triumphantly shoves it into the Italian man's face, grinning like an idiot as she can feel that alcohol coursing through her system, making her feel a sense of giddiness.

His question is interrupted by the arrival of their food, her eyes widening with such happiness as she promptly digs in. Groaning in appreciation, she quickly munches on the fries, practically devouring it as she nods at his question. "It really is!" she responds happily, taking a few more bites before leaning back in her chair, "Animal attacks? Oh, yes. Sorry, I forgot what we were talking about," she giggles slightly as she sucks in her bottom lip and chews on it thoughtfully for a moment. "I had a gentleman come in the other day that looked like he got shredded by some wild animal, his thigh had a deep wound that needed stitches. It looked like claw marks to me," she states, her memories returning to Sterling.

"There are more too, people come in with bite wounds all the times or scratches but it never looks like it was a house cat that bit them. Something much larger. I didn't realize Sacrosanct had such a wild animal problem," she frowns for a moment. She brushes it off before reaching for her beer to take several more drags, rather enjoying that taste now, her cheeks flushed with red from the alcohol intake. As she offers to drink his beer, she giggles at him as he comments that she seemed to enjoy the beer now. "I don't know about IPA's but I do like this beer," she giggles again, entirely missing the fact this this beer was, in fact, an IPA.

Clearly, the Asian woman was a lightweight.

It doesn't take long before the entrée arrives, the delicious aroma wafting through the air as she leans forward, almost toppling off her seat. She laughs again, trying to push those ridiculously long sleeves up, only to continuously fail. Frowning, she shrugs off the jacket as it falls over the back of the chair, warm now. "Oooooh, Ludo! This looks sooooo good!" she exclaims delightedly, hardly waiting for the man to dig in before she picks up that fork and takes a bite. Humming in appreciation, she flashes him a wide smile, "It is good!" she exclaims again before promptly digging in, finishing off that beer in the meantime. There is little talk between them as they shove their faces with food, Miya perfectly content as she finally leans back in her chair.

Ludo's words cause her chocolate eyes to flick up towards him, "Let's go! Do you want to go on an adventure?" she hiccups at him, giggling to herself, clearly pleased with her question. "There's so much of the city I haven't seen! I haven't done much exploring since I got attacked by that vampire," she giggles again, that fear far away as she nonchalantly states, as if being attacked by the dead wasn't a concern at all.
