East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Going on an adventure

A wave of fascination and worry swept across Ludo's face as Miya chugged down yet another beer. Was she usually like this? How much had she had already? 2 beers, and she's this tipsy? Ludo thought impressively. If only it took me two drinks to start feeling buzzed. He chuckled to himself as she presses the empty beer glass close to his face in triumph. He listened to her quizzically state how often animal attacks happened in Sacro. She also revealed that she thought they were bigger attacks than just domesticated animals. "Hmmm, really?" he questioned her sporting a slight look of disbelief. "I don't know about that, but maybe there's a mountain lion or small cub hanging around these parts?" He tried to convincingly state.

Thank god, he thought as he watched the waitress set down the steaming, juicy stew beside each of them. He watches Miya immediately lean forward and push the sleeves up on his jacket she was wearing. The sleeves however, kept unrolling down her small slender arms to the tip of her petite fingers. "Having a bit of trouble?" He teased, now watching her take of the jacket completely. He couldn't help but be entertained by her, especially with her next drawn out comment on how excellent the stew was. When inebriated, she acted out like a small child. She was completely different than he first remembered her to be.

When they first met, she was this very quiet, shy woman who got flustered easily. Now, it seemed as if he was looking at a completely different person sitting inches away from him. It was nice to see a new side to her but admittedly he couldn't help but feel a bit flustered as well. Before he could even say, "Dig in," or "Go ahead," she was already losing her fork into the stew and shoveling into her mouth. She just kept surprising Ludo more and more. God, can I keep up with her? Ludo jokingly thought as he courteously took his first bite of stew. "Wow, this is very good," he exclaimed, rubbing his chin as he tried to figure out what spices the cooks used. "I might have to try and cook this sometime," he stated, picking up now the flavors of thyme and hinted rosemary. "Want to be the taste tester?" Ludo asked flirtatiously as he continued to watch Miya devour her food.

Before he knew it, she was already finished with her meal and her third IPA. This woman was intriguing to him. She spoke aloud, asking Ludo if he wanted to go on an adventure and to explore the city more. "Sure, why not," he laughed. "It's not like I've gotten to experience much either." He added. Either she was careless, or she didn't think the information she had just revealed to be important, but she proceeded to jokingly brush off her experience getting attacked by a vampire. Not wanting to reveal to her what he truly was, he tried to play the part of a fool and pretended to not hear the last statement. Ludo didn't want Miya to become involved with something he thought would be like opening a can of worms.

"Scusi," he waved the waitress down as he paid for their meal. "Where should we go?" he thoughtfully asked Miya, examining the state she was in. It didn't seem like that adventure would last too much longer. Nonetheless, they got up from their table and started to head towards the door but before they could even get across the bar Miya had stumbled. Instinctively Ludo instantaneously reached for her and grabbed her arm a little harder than he wanted. "I'm sorry, did I hurt you? You surprised me, and I didn't want you to fall." He looked at her apologetically. "Here," he reached out his hand to her and waited to see if she would take it. "It would be better than to almost fall again and hurt yourself. I mean, you're the doctor, not I," he smirked playfully.
