East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

He seemed intrigued by her and her questions just like most of the humans she ran into. She was still seen as a freak no matter what. Even though she walked like a human and talked like one most of the time, she never seemed to catch up enough to seem normal. She didn't care so much what others thought of her but she did like to know what was going on. She hated being out of the loop. She saw questions in his eyes but he didn't ask so she brushed it off. Maybe she just thought he looked like he had questions. When she asked him what he meant by same sex, he seemed surprised that she wouldn't know what he was talking about but then he looked like he was about to spit out his drink when she asked if it had to do with sleeping with brothers and stuff. Was it even related? Was he going to explain? She scowled, growing impatient as she shifted on her seat.

Then he said that what she explained was called incest. She scowled deeper, not sure what relatives were but she guess that had to be what Tetradore and Henry was or something. She tilted her head when he said that homosexual means being attracted to males. "So does that mean I'm homosexual? Or is it only if I'm a male too?" She genuinely was curious, even leaning forward on the seat toward him, her eyes glittering with curiosity. He seemed happy enough to be in her company so she wondered if she could count him as a friend. Just like she had Miyako as a friend, he could still be her friend too right? She didn't think there was any limit on how many friends she could have or anything. He seemed thoughtful when she asked about the word lass and what it meant. Finally he smiled.

He said it was a common word back home though she didn't know where back home was for him. She lifted a brow. She grinned. "You do talk kinda funny. Do all people talk like that 'back home' as you call it? Where is that exactly?" She tapped her fingers on the bar and took another sip of her drink before she turned back to him. It seemed only right that she share some information about herself if she was going to ask about him. "I'm not from here either. Came here with some friends a year or so ago, maybe even less. It's kinda hard to keep track of time. Now I have friends and a family of sorts so I guess I'm staying. I like males too. I finally got to sleep with a friend of mine a week or so ago and it was great." She talked to him like she was talking about a movie she just saw or something. She didn't know sex wasn't something you didn't just bring up in casual conversation.
