East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

He seemed thoughtful for a minute before he ran off on some idea of people talking different and accents and figures of speech. Really, she was lost within the first few words. She tilted her head, searching his expression as if that would explain everything. Her brow lifted and for a minute she almost didn't say anything cause he looked so confident in that moment, as if that should have explained everything. Was he talking about his accent at that point or about the homosexuality question? She wasn't sure where he was in the conversation and where she should be at this point. Or was he talking about something else altogether? Finally she just tilted her head. "Huh? Um, you lost me." She offered a sheepish smile, hoping it wouldn't upset him.

But then he WAS talking about the homosexuality so she leaned in and paid attention. She nodded her head. Okay, this, she could understand. So since she was a girl and she liked boys, she was heterosexual. She was sure she would forget that word before the end of the day but at least for now she knew it. The other word was easier to remember, straight. She nodded when he asked if she understood. She smiled. "Thanks for explaining. That makes sense." Then she went on to tell him about her night with Henry. He didn't react like others had, by telling her that she shouldn't talk about it and that it was dangerous to sleep with friends. Then he asked if she had feelings for him and she shrugged, scowling thoughtfully before she answered. "Well, I care about him. He's my best friend and I trust him. He loves someone though, someone not me. I want him to be happy. I don't think we're right for each other." She said it nonchalantly.
