East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

you could rattle the stars.
you could do anything,
if only you dared

The moment the man offers to give her a discount on the entire cake, Vhalla gives a mere shrug, distinct pleasure coursing through the assassin's body. Not that the woman was poor by any means... truly, she made good money in her line of work, even if it was blood money. Allowing a sly smile to adorn those luscious lips of hers, she merely gives him a nod, "I won't turn down a discount," she states, pushing that stark hair over her shoulder to get it out of her face. His next words have those icy blue eyes flicking up to meet the man's gaze, her own devilish grin growing at his conditions. There weren't many people who braved tacking on conditions with the woman, the assassin excluding a dangerous aurora in general. Yet, she can see that playfulness that so enters the man's eyes, Vhalla merely shrugging at him to continue. "Fine with me," she states casually, hardly minding the fact she would be eating cake now instead of later.

As she starts to question him what kind of cake it is, utter delight runs rampart through those icy eyes as he tells her it is, in fact, chocolate, at least for the most part. She's practically drooling as he explains the components of the cake, her mouth watering with such anticipation she can't help but afford the man a broad grin, "I don't know half of what you said but I'm looking forward to it," she states boldly, pushing herself off the counter after paying the man. "I stopped listening after you said chocolate," she says bluntly, hardly caring if she offended the man or not, she had a feeling he wouldn't easily be offended though. The woman not really in the mood to worry about walking on eggshells around others. Slipping the man twenty five dollars, she waves a hand off as he tries to give her change, "Keep it, for tip or whatever," she says absentmindedly, not knowing if they received tips or not.

It was clear Vhalla was not a cheapskate, even though her eyes had brightened at the mention of a discount, she still tended to overpay or tip generously. She wasn't greedy in the slightest, her money hard earned but still... she always felt a little uncomfortable having that blood money on hand. As her blue eyes travel the cafe, they settle on the dark skinned woman in the kitchen, working away with gods knows what, her eyes narrowing in curiosity. Making that statement, the man is quick to reply with a rhetorical answer, Vhalla hardly deigning to necessary to reply, instead, her gaze drifts over the bakery cases, sweets lining every shelf. Oh, she could get used to this. It was a little out of her way but they had such a variety she didn't mind making the trip over to this side of town to get a sweet treat every now and then.

As her attention returns to the man, she questions him as a hunter. His response cracks a grin across the assassin's face, the woman taking a liking to the man almost instantly. "Are you equivalent to Edward Scissorhands? Do you chop people up and bake them into your goodies?" The devilish grin appears on her lips once more, her teasing far more dark and wretched than most people she knew. Though, she had a sneaking suspicion the Italian man would be fine with it, it wasn't as if she were going to see him outside of this bakery. When he explains that he is indeed not from here, Vhalla doesn't respond, not finding it necessary to say anything. Though, it doesn't take him long before he's excusing himself to retrieve that cake. Instantly, her mouth is watering again as she pictures that first delicious bite.

When he returns with the majority of the cake in the box and a slice on the plate, she snatches it quickly from him, hardly caring she held no manners. Taking a large mouthful, she groans in delight as the chocolate coats the inside of her mouth. When he asks her how it is, she doesn't respond, instead, she continues to stuff her face until the slice is all but gone. Vhalla is tempted to lick the plate clean but refrains, realizing she was drawing noise from the other customers with her sexual groaning of food. "You're going to be my new personal cake baker," she says, handing him back that empty plate and snatching the box from him. "I fully expect you to have some sort of chocolate cake for me once a week," she grins toothily at him, tucking that box under her arm. "I'm Vhalla," she introduces herself finally, reaching a hand out to shake. Waiting for his name, she takes a step away from him.

"It was nice meeting you, Ludo. I'll see you again," she promises as she turns on a heel and marches out that door into the blustery day once more.
