East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The conversation with Malia was an easy one. For some reason, she was easy to talk to, even if she didn't always understand what he was saying. He would have to remember to try not to talk so southern around her. Learning that she spent most of her life in her canine form â€" it explained a lot about her unfamiliarity with human customs. He could forgive those.

She asked what he liked to do for fun and he had mentioned that he liked to write and run â€" two things that he could do all day every day and never grow tired of them. She asked him if he liked to run in his human form, or his other. He chuckled. "It's that obvious that I'm not entirely human, huh?" Growing up he had been told to keep that part of himself shielded away from most people. He wasn't allowed to share that part of him with anyone but his own family. And even then, no all the members of his family were so supportive.

However, he remembered that she had asked him a question and it would be rude of him to never answer her. "Both forms, actually. I was on the track team in high school." He loved to run. Ever since he figured out how to use his legs he was on the move. It seemed nature that he would take to track so easily. At her comment about hunting making her remember that she was still dangerous, he chuckled. "There's nothing dangerous about me." While his Great Dane form might be tall and a little startling to some, his breed of animal would much rather lay on a couch all day. If he had to be honest with himself, he didn't mind that either.

However, they left the club and headed towards a place that had other types of fun. The hour was late so there weren't too many people skating. It would be a good place for them to have some fun and still get to know one another. He asked for her shoe size, already telling the man to grab a skate in his own size. She took off her heal and looked at it. The way she pointed to the number made her sound unsure. "Can't read?" He didn't think any less of her for it. Knowing her history, he could understand why she couldn't read. "Your friend is right, you're an 8." He waited for the man behind the counter to hand them both their skates.

taking them, he lead her to the bench and sat down beside her, handing her the shoes when wheels on them. "Have you ever skated before?" This probably wasn't the best activity to do while she was in a tight dress, but he would make sure she didn't fall too hard. He quickly slipped on his own skates before kneeling down in front of her to help her put hers on. "You have to have balance. You simply glide your feet instead of walking. It's pretty fun." And Limbo! He loved to play limbo! However, he knew for a fact she was not quite ready for that particular game.
