East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The dog was hardly picky when it came to the women that he was more than content to spend time sweet-talking or flirting with from dusk until dawn - well, when he wasn't out thieving to afford what little he did have. Naturally, he had an eye for pretty things, and so he would have hardly been on his a-game had he not seen the witch. Some men would sit around and talk about how their weakness was always a drop-dead gorgeous blonde with the brightest baby blue eyes that could make them grow weak in their knees, or maybe how all it took was seeing bright crimson locks and glittering emerald hues for them to act the fool so that the woman might turn and offer them a smile worth more than a thousand words. Some males would practically drool at the sight of a stunning creature with long, raven black hair and fierce dark chocolate eyes to betray the fire that flickered and burned there while others were all about those milk chocolate locks and soft hazel depths sweet and timid, enough to make them forget about anyone and everything else that might have once had their attention. He could hardly count the times where he'd been sitting in a bar only to hear the males in the same establishment perhaps a small distance away laughing as they sat around yapping about the sexy woman they'd seen just the other night and bragged about either taking her to bed or getting her number for another chance meeting that might hoping have them sprinting from a first base level to third with any luck. Then, one of those same males might decide to make some sort of remarks about how he'd pursued some hot brunette only for the woman to give him the cold shoulder, making a comment like "but I've always had a soft spot for dark hair and brown eyes". It was always somewhat amusing to the were as he would listen to them go on about every notch in their figurative belt, telling the story of how they'd been victorious against a game of hard-to-get that so many females almost always tried to start with just to see how ensnared the man was, having him forget entirely about the first women they might have had their eyes on that night. All the while, the dog would be sitting there at the bar enjoying his own drink, waiting for his own Ms. Right For The Night to come waltzing into the bar just so he might have his own fun.

Levi had never limited his own interests to just one type of woman and he was certainly more than capable or willing to... appreciate any stunning creature that might have the luck - or great misfortune, depending on just how difficult she would intend on making things - of having crossed paths with him, regardless of whether they were blessed to be blonde, brunette, or redhead. They could have eyes like melted milk chocolate, as soft and bright as a baby blue sky on the first day of spring, greener than the darkest of emeralds, or the softest shades of hazel to put any autumn afternoon to shame. The dog found each and every one of them and all others in between to be more than delicious enough to feign getting lost in. There had been only a small handful of rare occasions where the dog had come close to genuinely incapable of keeping his own dark earthen gaze from staring into the windows of a beautiful soul, but never had there been an instance where a female could enrapture the wild canine for more than a single night. Sure, if given the chance he would hardly say no to a repeat night between semi-familiar sheets if he'd enjoyed himself enough, but those moments were just as uncommon for the were. All the beauty in the world would never be enough to keep him stuck on any one female, captivating him entirely that he simply could not think of a any other woman than one. Gods, that would be the end of Levi if such a thing were to ever happen, the very idea that he would ever settle for one beautiful face when so far in this life he's been able to have several keep him company during those twilight hours, caught up in an evening of wild passion and lust that gave him a high intoxicating enough to almost rival the rush he could find from stealing... it was unfathomable, really. Most men would sleep around until their conquests were brought to an abrupt and screeching halt as they stumbled upon "the one", and from that very second their life as a reckless bachelor were done for. Thankfully though, the were could not be more certain that there was no such thing as "the one" for him. He was content to watch others find their other halves, the keys to their heart, the savior of their troubled soul while the love gods seemed to have deemed the dog undeserving of the one thing which was known to tame some of the wildest beings. They could keep all that lovey-dovey crap to themselves, Levi wanted no part of it. That just meant less competition for him - not that he didn't enjoy showing up another guy or taking on someone twice his size in a show of masculine strength and wit. It wasn't always about size, after all.

It was damn near impossible not to allow for those smoldering earthen eyes to drink her in like a parched man having wandered the desert for days would his first tall glass of cold water. Even when those glacier blue eyes seem to burn like liquid nitrogen, the dog found himself more than pleased with the beautiful woman adamant in playing the game that Levi was always ready for. There's been nights where it was almost too easy to find a pretty face sitting alone in some bar only to see just how vulnerable the creature was. They were always the ones that proved to be much less of a fight, just like the naïve hearts which didn't know any better when it came to those smoothly spoken compliments devilishly woven to leave them thinking they were somehow special, the most beautiful thing he'd seen in all his young adult years. The naïve and the wounded were sweet enough for the were, blinking those doe eyes up to the wild dog when he would reach out to tuck a stray strand of long, silken hair behind their ear as he would give them that debonair smile and assure them that they deserved something better than himself. He couldn't count just how many times whispering those sweet nothings he was startlingly capable of had earned him a night with a timid beauty likely to wake up the next morning just as broken if not more so when they found his side of the bed cold and a note on the pillow that would usually read "thanks for last night, beautiful". Ah, but they would just be that much wiser afterwards, wouldn't they? Maybe. In some sort of twisted way, the were could almost say he was helping them to become a little more self-confident and a little less willing to share their sheets with the next man that might come their way with similar intentions. However, the dog hardly ever held their trusting nature against them. There were some nights where he was left apt to take pleasure a chase, his preferences in those softer and more delicate creatures usually swayed by lack of sleep or borne out of pure laziness or willingness to be the opportunistic animal that he was. So, he often enjoyed them just as much as those not too unlike the feisty witch beside him today.

Her words are just as cold as the look that she gives him, and perhaps, had he been any other man she'd encountered, that little trick might have worked. He could have left her alone, getting the hint that she was far from nearly as amused as he was. Ah, but much to her misfortune, he was no such man. The dog in him was persistent, curious even, and so he gives her that doggish grin, dark eyes glinting."All the more reason for you to warm me up, darling", he replies effortlessly. The were has no problem watching her leave, enjoying the view as much as he did the rest of her, but when she dares to turn around, it's all the invitation the man would ever need. He is quick to leave after her, melting easily into the tide of the crowd on the sidewalk and find her. After all, even if he had lost sight of the witch, he had her scent now. She was as good as done for in regards to getting away from him in that sense. He matches her strides easily, but he hardly misses the way that the breeze seems to kick up, coincidentally in time with the agitated look she was now wearing beautifully. Gods, he loved feisty women when he craved a good chase, even if it didn't get the were anywhere. He can feel his inner dog's hackles rise up in reaction to the sensation of magic that begins to slip from its containment, announcing itself to the man and yet he makes no comment to it. It was a moot point, a simple observation from the keen predator that stalked behind smoldering earthen eyes, though he would be lying if he said that he wasn't even more intrigued by her.. She turns those winter cold blues to the dog again, that debonair smile still etched upon his handsome features taking an almost devilish accent when she points away from her, her words sharp with every intent to cut him as she turns away and continues to walk ahead. Of course, he hardly veers away from her, staying just beside her."Oh, I can tell you don't need an escort, beautiful", he replies smoothly, as if her words had practically been just another invitation for the dog to follow her."I could use one, though. And you look like someone that knows the area. Maybe you wouldn't mind showing me around a bit? It could be fun", he continues, giving her a cheeky wink, strong hands shoved into his pockets as he walks with her. Goodness, she was quite the talent at this hard-to-get game. But, if it was chase that she truly wanted to play, he would be all too happy to oblige her.

I Can See You Just Love The Chase. Lucky For You, My Dear, Because That's My Favorite Game.
