East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She knew he was only trying to help but she was stubborn to a tea and others helping her still wasn't second nature. She had just gotten where she might allow it from certain members of her pack and close friends, but she was still suspicious by nature of anyone else who tried to reach a hand out to her. She had a feeling she could trust Ashton, but a part of her was still afraid the hand that fed would just get bitten at the end, so a part of her held back. She didn't meant to hurt his pride or his feelings by not taking his advice. It just wasn't something she could accept right now. And if she were better at filtering, she might not have told him as much out loud. But she was never good at filtering. She did like that he still wanted to help though, even when she pushed him away. He was a good guy to his very core. It was both comforting and scary as hell. She didn't know quite how to read him sometimes. She had come to know most people in her life as mostly good, but all of them had flaws.

Even her best friend, Henry, had his problems, between his relationship and his apparent stress over the situation he found himself in between Malia and his boyfriend. Oh, she could feel it every time she was around him lately. If anything, she had gotten very observant. But so far she had yet to find a flaw in Ashton and it troubled her. Surely he couldn't be perfect. Would he even bother to keep trying to get to know her if she kept pushing away? Everyone had a breaking point. Would he find his and say to hell with her? A part of her hoped not. It was only their first time meeting, so maybe she was thinking too much into it. Surely he knew it would take time to earn her trust and peek past the walls she'd erected to protect herself. She'd already opened up to him so much more than she would anyone else she ran into on the street. That had to count for something, right? She still wanted to spend time with him though. Really, she didn't want the night to end.

So when he asked if she was tired, she was quick to shake her head and tell him she wanted to show him something. As she stepped into the dark of the forest, she started stripping and was amused to find that he wasn't so quick to turn around as she thought he would. He almost looked too shocked to respond. Her eyes glittered in mischief. She wasn't self conscious by any means. Nudity was just another part of her world and none of her pack seemed to mind it either. I mean, it wasn't like Frost allowed her to just run around the house in nothing but at least when it came to shifting, everyone seemed pretty chill. He, however, acted like he'd never seen a naked woman before. But the very idea was baffling. It had to be just because she'd shocked him by stripping down like this right off the sidewalk. Surely he'd seen his share of women. Looking like he did, there was no way she could see another option.

Finally his gaze averted and he turned his back and she snorted a little as she finished undressing and shifted. As he turned back to her, he said she could have just asked and she sniffed in response, her ears flicking back as her eyes narrowed a little. If he could hear her right now, she'd be saying "I practically did in the club and yet you only told me you weren't dangerous." She felt disappointment rearing it's ugly head as he merely stood there instead of joining her. Was he not going to take part? She had to hold herself back from simply tearing his clothes off of him with her teeth, figuring that wouldn't be the best approach right now. He seemed hesitant, reserved. She took a seat on her haunches, having a feeling this might take a while. Then he said something about it being intimate, mentioning husband and wife. Her ears flicked back and forth, trying to understand as she tilted her head. Her tail thumped the ground as she grew thoughtful.

It seemed shifting was something totally different in their worlds. She scowled, but not because she was angry. Disappointed, sure, but she wasn't going to push him if that's how he felt about it. He said he'd only shifted with his pack and she stood. Giving him one more thoughtful look, she then nodded. Closing her eyes, she focused and hands sprouted where her paws once were. Once she was crouched, human, again, she slowly stood and reached for her clothes. "Okay, I get it. We'll do something else. Have you ever been to an arcade?" She smirked as she slipped into her underwear and clipped her bra. She got quiet for a moment before slipping her shirt over her head and putting her legs through the skirt one at a time. "What will you do around the next full moon? Will you be called to shift like all the other Were's or will you just ignore the call?" She was genuinely curious, wondering if he had already thought that part out yet.
