East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Wake up to your dreams
And watch them come true

There was no way she was going to let this pregnancy get in the way of her business. She didn't let hers with the twins stop her at the burlesque either. As a business owner and the only teacher meant her options were limited- hire another teacher or close for some time. Neither of those were ideal to her and she loved her students too much to let them down in their competition training. Today was a bit tiring though, the hormones beginning to get to her and her cravings through the roof. As soon as there was a break between sessions Nadya declared it lunch time and made a beeline for the pastry shop down the street.

This baby seemed to have inherited its father's sweet tooth which was new to Nadya. She had never cared for sweets before. Nadya was so focused on those sweets behind the glass that she didn't take note of any other patrons. She had become a regular the last few weeks and the woman behind the counter greeted her with a familiar smile and pulled out that bakers box to begin filling. Nadya figured she'd pick a few for Frost as well though it would probably end up being a battle on who ate them first. With the filled to the brim baker box in one arm and nibbling on a chocolate croissant in the other, she stepped back out into the warm summer afternoon air. Now that her cravings were being satisfied it made her more aware of her surroundings...and a familiar face caught her peripheral. Nadya had to do a double take for the face to fully register. "Carolina?"

Nadya hadn't seen the woman in god knows how long, having given the woman a bartender job back at her burlesque. That position had proved to be the hardest to keep filled for some reason. "I...-you're back." Nadya shifted the box in her arm. While she was only 14 weeks along, barely beginning to show, her black shirt and yoga pants outfit clung enough to show the soft sloping of her abdomen. "When did you get back in? I mean...it's good to see you again." She didn't really know why it was suddenly awkward to talk to the other woman.
