East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Will these words have an impact? Can they be carved into stone?

Some fear fire, but I've become it.

Raven echoed the words of the instructor with ease like a mantra she memorized and yet it was the mention of the boys passing out that caused the woman to raise a curious perfectly arched brow. Those unintentional memories flooded in with perfect clarity. The things that she had seen and couldn't unsee. She remembered the sheer brutality that both Tetradore and Tobias could display when they needed to. They had seen far worse than these slides, experienced far worse than giving birth. Mira bit the inside of her mouth in consideration, the thought of Tetradore being woozy by those photos was so entirely laughable to her. Hadn't she too seen worse than this? Perhaps it was the thought of it happening to her own body... is what seemed so.. Concerning. "Our men have seen far worse than that. I don't think either of them would bat an eye at this... That one guy, I am certain hasn't seen blood before. I bet he's a prey animal.. Like a were-rabbit or a... chick or something.." Mira added covertly. "I do... think that despite their machoness, they would worry. But that is waaay different than being squeamish like that guy.. " Mira's shoulders shook with mirth as the women rose to take leave of the classroom. In all actuality it was nice to move around again.

The she-wolf enjoyed the prospect of the after part. A little bit of good old quality... girltime. Especially when that included the prospect of food, how her stomach nearly rumbled at the thought. The woman eager to put any worries the class had sparked to rest. The true question was... what was Raven craving. After all, she was speaking for two. Mira's golden eyes shone when they all but widened at the long menu of things she wanted. So.... much food... with conflicting flavours.

An easy laugh escaped the hispanic woman. "We better get a move on if we are going to find every one of those things, it will be a mall... adventure. The restaurant and the pretzels are on opposite sides of the mall.. So we will eat... shop and make our way to those soft pretzels... After... We will get the pickles... and uhhh... sundae on the way home. Really? Pickles and Icecream? Together? How does that.... I am not sure I want to know." Mira could hardly hide the bafflement from her voice. She knew about cravings but that? Her voice trailed off, simply willing to accept those strange cravings afflicting Raven.

The women moved through the mall, Mira refusing to go to the foodcourt... for nachos. They hardly compared to the real deal... Of course the mall was severely lacking in mexican cuisine sadly.. it would have probably been asking too much for a decent mexican restaurant... without going for a bit of a drive. At least the restaurant Mira had in mind, had a bit of everything. It gave the women a chance to talk over devouring their cheesy delightfulness... Surely Raven had something to say about.... All of this coming together so quickly. Ready or not, that baby was coming. Even if one's emotions hardly matched the pace in which it came.

It was then Raven taunted her with the mention of.. Genders. She knew?? She knew and she waited until now to tell her?? Mira could not help that scoff that escaped her as her curly haired companion continued to goad her as if sensing her curiosity. She dangled it before waving it around almost cruelly so! The woman's slender shoulders rose and fell in a shrug as if dismissing her true thought on the matter. "Nope. Not even a little..." Mira could not help that clear lie.... That left her lips. Not that it truly mattered what it was, there was a little allure in it all the same.

Raven grasped Mira's hand, the woman led them swiftly to a far more secluded place. She was dragging this out, she could feel it far too well. Mira allowed herself to be led to the place of Raven's choosing, a corridor out of the way. Easy for people simply walked around them hardly sensing the anticipation of that moment. Her curly haired companion seemed to beam then as she leaned in. A son! Mira was grateful that she at least didn't drag it out longer than she had to. A boy, if anything like his father would be a vivacious creature.

Raven chattered on happily, any nerves that she might have garnered from the birthing class were diminished with the prospect of that tiny little nugget in her belly....was actually her son. That look of surprise sprouted across Raven's features then that something unbeknownst to the she-wolf... had occurred. Immediately Raven tugged Mira's hand to her belly that indicated something that surely happened. Her fingers outstretched to lie flat across her companion's stomach, waiting for something. Was she supposed to feel something obvious? Hmm. Raven's words about the child being like his father drew a warm fond smile to her lips."I don't think that's a bad thing at all. He's lucky to have such an honest man to look up to." Mira commented although nothing stirred within Raven's belly that she could feel. It was almost disappointing as anything anticlimactic could be. It looks like she missed the kicking extravaganza. "I'm so happy for you.. In case you didn't know." She meant it.

A frown settled on Mira's gentle features then, her brows stitched together. "Aw I think, I missed it.." She almost pulled her hand away, unless.... There was something else that she was supposed to be feeling for. Maybe that was it? That was when she felt a flutter sensation within Raven's belly, there was no mistaking that there was something inside of the bump that adorned her companion's stomach. Mira jumped, pulling back her hand as if she were scalded. "I felt him!" She exclaimed, admittedly shocked. It had been a long time since she felt anything like that. In fact, she could hardly remember when her mother was pregnant with her sister, the memory nothing short of a faded mist within her mind. "Holy crap.. That's kind of crazy." Mira all but stared at Raven's belly with a newfound... awe. "He probably is demanding we get nachos, I can't say I blame him. I'm hungry too." Mira pulled her hand back after giving it a little soft pat as if letting the kid know that she heard him loud and clear.

Mira guided the pair through the mall. Stopping to read the map to walk, not far to the southern part of the mall. The pair of girls quickly seated at a comfortable booth.. as they placed their order in for Nachos.. A giant order of them to be precise. "Alright, I know you are excited, it's impossible not to. But tell me you're not just a little scared.. It's still a huge change and its just a few months away.. That opening to share the worries of her mind was there there, if Raven wanted it. Mira placed both elbows on the polished table as she leaned in forward as her golden eyes observed her knowingly.
