East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

if you've got nothing to dance about find a reason to sing

So far, things were going well for the girl. She had only been in the city a few nights yet she had already seemed to love the place. She had rented a hotel room until she could find something more permanent and every day she was thankful that she had went out on a limb by leaving her old life behind.

Tonight, she had decided to explore the city. She picked out her favorite purple dress and a pair of flats to match. Her hair was in easy, natural waves that hung down her back. In her hand she carried a small black clutch that she had bought from a local vender, so she wouldn't have to carry her large bag around anymore. She wore a pair of nice, black gloves that reached half way up her arm.

She was a new person, different than what she had been; or so she appeared. The only two things to give her away was the branded slave symbol on her palm that was hidden by her gloves and her personality. Of course the girl didn't think she would run into anyone, so she wasn't worried about giving herself away.

Leaving her hotel room, she walked down the sidewalk to the heart of downtown. She wasn't staying far from the heart of Sacrosanct. The air around her was heavy with magic; something she wasn't used to. Her mind was taken off the air as she reached the streets of downtown. The night was lively as people of all species were out and about. With a smile on her face the girl moved through the place, stopping to admire the tall buildings which were unlike anything she had ever seen.

There seemed to be something going on in the square which was the reason for everyone being out. She wanted to go into every store she passed, but she didn't know where to start. Deciding that first she wanted to simply people watch for a bit, she stopped and sat on a bench, picking out where she would venture to first.

the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams
