East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

YOU TOOK APART MY SOUL Sorcha

Day and night, Sorcha had crossed Booker's thoughts. Meeting someone so kind and so beautiful? Gentle, a caring soul who valued life in all its forms? He never expected that, not for him. Randomly during the day and even as he laid down to rest, a smile would cross his lips and his heart would flutter like a butterflies - no - like a hummingbirds! And then the tickle of nervousness would dance around in his stomach when he remembered she'd accepted his date and wanted to meet again.

He counted the days, then the hours, then the minutes. He even started marking them off on his calendar. But before that wonderful night, he had to do one thing extra. Besides taking her out, Booker knew he owed her something in return.

And not just anything would do.

In some strange way, it was also to be a test. She told me she was a Witch. But the evidence is too vague. I need to show her that I know about the Otherworld, but I can't come off as crazy if she's just well .. like me. And by that, he mean't human. He'd sip his coffee every morning, rummaging through notes his parents had left in their books over the years of her species and even the fairy tales, the history books, the folklore. Until it finally hit him that morning of the date.

Booker laid out a set of three different dress shirts on his bed, deciding on something darker for the evening with the dark blue one. He left the last few buttons undone, and did not choose to put on a tie. With this he wore the matching jeans and his black dress shoes he had probably only worn once (but had spent much of the morning polishing them, making them look nice). He had even trimmed his beard and put on a soft smelling cologne, his hair thick and slicked (but still somewhat disobedient with a curl on the side). Grabbing his gray pea coat and car keys, he leaves his quiet house on Hawethorn Village and quickly jumps into his silver 2014 Chevy Impala.

He heads to the West side of Sacrosanct. His research was becoming useful, as he knew Supernaturals sold items there. And he hoped the gift he wanted to give Sorcha was available. If he could even find someone who was selling anything of these sorts; fate is on his side and he does, though it takes much longer than he expected. Looking at the clock in his car, it read 7:34pm when he had told her he'd pick her up at 8. "Shit!" There was no time to wrap it or make it look like a gift, and for this he feels terrible, but he races to reach her in time.

It's 8:15pm when he pulls up to her building. He jumps out his car as fast as he can (putting her surprise in his pocket), jogging inside and to the elevator. Fifth floor, fifth floor! He almost punches the button and immediately hits the close doors as well. Nervously resting his back on the metal railings inside, hating himself that he waited until the last moment to go and do that. The instant the doors open, he power walks to her door, takes in a deep breath and tries to collect himself and then politely knocks two times. He feels to make sure the the gift was inside his pocket (it was).

Here we go, Booker.
