North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

North
we stopped checking for monsters under our beds,

when we realized they were inside of us all along.

How dark it was out here, almost as dark as his own mind. Massive hand lifts from the butt of his axe to run through his russet hairs. He should go in, for the drink not the people. But he is interrupted in his decision making.

He might have noticed her sooner had his thoughts hadn't been so occupied by the souls haunting him within. Her body crashes into his and he tenses on instinct, mass flexing as she falls from him like a feather against a brick wall. He breathes, eyes narrowing as crystals irises turn to fall upon her with an almost bored expression. Eyes flash as she moves abruptly, bringing down her sleeves tho it was a weapon he was looking for. No, she wasn't going to attack, in fact she seemed more nervous than a rabbit in hunting season.

She speaks but he isn't listening, her voice is almost as annoying as the voices inside. Casually, the viking moves his own hands, brushing off his body from the collision as if to rid himself from her touch. Those icy eyes move from her slender form behind her, taking note of what another might not see before flicking back to her. He takes a brief moment to trace his gaze along her scarred face before his rough hand raises. She could move away or hit him if she likes but he had no idea what personal boundaries were. That hand moves to her scars, thumb tracing her fair skin before coming to grab her chin gently. He turns her face, searching for more "deformities" on such a beautiful girl.

None here though judging by how fast she pulled her sleeves down, she had others.

He seems satisfied, hand falling heavily.

He moves away from her without a word, his broad back practically blocking the light of the domain ahead from her view, casting a shadow upon her small form. He pauses by the door, pushing it open as music and laughter breaks the silence he allowed to fall between them. The Viking holds the door as he half turns towards her, "I'll take an ale," his gruff baritones say simply, hand gesturing from her to the door as if to say 'after you'.
