The impact was hard, practically a bruising force as it nearly rattles her teeth in her skull as the petite Asian woman falls to the ground, spilling the contents of her bag and in turn donuts scatter around them. One of those jelly-filled goodness successfully smacking the man in the face, thought the woman hardly notices as she is far too embarrassed by her own clumsiness she begins to gather her belongings, apologizing profusely as she notes the sudden silence in the shop, the clicking of cameras filling that quiet. Blushing furiously, she glances up at the man who is now knelt before her, helping her gather her things.

"You didn't run into me, this is my fault and I made you drop all your doughnuts!" she exclaims, those cheeks tinged with pink as she reaches for the pencils in his hand. Retrieving them, she offers a shy smile, "Thank you," she says quietly though the eyes of shop are still burning into her back and she shifts uncomfortably under their eyes. Clasping his hand, she doesn't immediate note how cold his fingers are, though she gratefully takes it and pulls herself into a standing position. Brushing her pants off, she glances up into his face, before her brows sky rocket. "Ah, you, um," she mumbles out before digging into her bag and retrieving several napkins.

Instead of handing the napkins to him, she simply raises her hand and begins dabbing at the jelly on his face. It takes a moment before she realizes what she's doing before her face flushes a brilliantly red before she shoves the napkins into his hand, "Sorry, you had, um, jelly on your face," she mutters dropping her gaze to the ground. When he offers to buy her a drink she shakes her head, "No thank you, I should be offering to buy these donuts for you, I ruined them all," she frowns at the mess that's still scattered about the ground, "Can I pay for these please? It would make me feel better," she states, finally glancing back at the stranger.

She's relieved when he finally dismisses his entourage of workers, though there was still a fair number of customers still watching them. Again, she shifts a bit uncomfortable as some of the workers exit, allowing room to breathe at last. When she asks if she had hurt him, relief swamps her as he simply shakes his head. Offering a tentative smile back at him, she wraps her fingers around her messenger bag's strap, "Miyako," she answers simply before she flushes again at her forwardness. He did look familiar, perhaps he simply looked like someone she knew in class.

Shrugging the thought away, she returns her attention to the man. When he introduces himself, Mi arches a brow in surprised, "You're the mayor?" she asks, astonishment coating her words, "It would explain why there are so many cameras," she gestures with her hand at the crowd as they still stand rather uncomfortably in front of the customers, as if they were putting on a show for them. Cringing at the thought and almost horrified expression crosses her features, "I'm glad your workers didn't find me a threat, Mr. Auerbach, that could have been... bad," she trails off rather lamely.

The Asian woman wasn't entirely what would happen to her if they had thought she was a threat to the mayor. She knew well enough she would be dismayed if she were to be arrested! Her lips thin in apprehension as those thoughts travel through her mind, the girl entirely distracted from the man for the moment. Oh, how her mind ran rampant.
