The softly illuminated foyer was bustling with energy, as clients mingled with each other over glasses of liquor, the sounds of laughter and voices echoed off the stone walls and floors. This was the new evening norm. It had been a few weeks since the urban club had opened and it had drawn in the eager crowds looking for a new experience. The luxury club offered experiences for anyone that could afford them and it showed no signs of slowing.

Eve had been involved in every step of the renovation; choosing the décor to create the perfectly orchestrated atmosphere down to the most minute of detail. It was all designed to feel timelessly elegant, subtlety expensive and most of all, exclusive. The warm tones in contemporary styling gave the classic Victorian a necessary modern boost while adding dark woods, glass and warm metals created an atmosphere that was inviting and interesting. It was created to make clients want to relax in style and luxury. The attention to detail was now paying off with a full foyer, and fully book restaurants and spa.

The tall, willowy fairy queen stood at the rail of the fourth-floor balcony of her office that opened to look out over the foyer below as she watched the guests below. There were other such balconies on the floors below, that were flush, set in to large arched doorways. While guests could not step out on to them, they could look out across the indoor courtyard that made up the foyer of the club. Though, hers was the only one that bowed out to allow for space, she had furnished the balcony with a small table & 2 chairs and a love seat with two arm chairs. It gave her an area to entertain when necessary as well as a place to retreat to when she wanted to escape the rigorous work that had to be put in to maintain the club. Her spaces were always simplistic with a subtle expensive feel.

Eve was torn away from her thoughts by the sound of a light tap on the door frame. Marco stood before her, an older gentleman that had a patchy bald spot, a body that had gone soft from age and disuse and an astute face with wrinkles and lines from years of staring at papers and a computer screen. He offered her a nod and a smile by way of greeting before he stepped out on the balcony. "Madam, I need you to sign a few forms and contracts for vendors as well as licenses and things for the city." Eve offered only a hint of a discontent in a sigh as she moved from the rail towards him. "No, it iz late. Leave z'em and we will handle z'is business tomorrow." Marco opened his mouth to press her but thought better of it. He knew when he could push her and when he couldn't, tonight was not that night. "Go home, Marco. Have a drink, celebrate." She said with a smirk as she walked towards the door to let him out.

Eve left her office a few minutes later, taking the elevator down to the ground floor towards the front reception desk. The woman had always chosen her appearance carefully, even down to her actual face. Few people knew how truly shapeless she could be. Tonight, she willowy and tall, with four-inch black suede stiletto heels that made her long legs look like they were endless with the help of the couture off the shoulder black cocktail dress that landed a few inches above her knee. Her hair was curly and black, pulled in to a soft up do sprinkled with small gems that little like drops of water in her curls to offset the hard lines of her dress.

Eve had almost reached the reception area when a jittery man bumped in to her, almost spilling a cup of coffee on her. The bump caused her to stumble a step before she regained her balance and turned to face whomever had almost knocked her over. Unfathomably green eyes pin him in an accessing gaze, deciding whether he was a guest or a nuisance. If he had winked, she would have had Marin take him out back and beat him. "Apparently, quite distracting." She concludes as she absently smooths down her dress. "Perhaps less coffee would help your focus." Her tone was mildly sarcastic, though not harsh and laced with the exotic accent of her homeland as an enigmatic smirk crosses her lips when she focuses her attention back to him.
