Ashes to Ashes

It was truly rare for Anna-Marie to have much of any inclination...or sanity enough to answer any questions about her past. Who would have cared enough to question her anyways? So much of her antics were simply accepted based on the age she appeared. It was also very unlikely that Anna would have indulged anyone else but Sebastian in allowing those memories to the forefront of her mind. She averted her gaze as she spoke those sideways answers to what Sebastian was asking for. "He fought with swords a long time ago for a King. He was a good fighter...but...he tricked me. He took her..." There was an edge of rising anger to her voice. It was hard to keep the emotions that plagued the child vampire from being more like whiplash the way she snapped back and forth.

It was thankful that the stewardess entered carrying that tray of cups with blood. Well, it was thankful to have it distracting from the rising anger that Anna had but not so much when it came to the blood itself. Her upper lip curled in disgust, voicing her hatred for the stale red liquid. That icy gaze shifted from Sebastian to the stewardess with anticipation for her to follow through with the suggestion. If the woman didn't willingly relinquish her blood then the little vampire had no problem taking it. It was perhaps a sign of attempted control, for Sebastian sake, to give his alternative methods a chance before doing things her way.

Luckily the stewardess wasn't stupid, or at least she understood that very predatory look about Anna. "I'll....be right back." She spoke in barely above a whisper before she slipped back to the nook area and returned with a pair of small nail clipper scissors. There was tension in her whole body as she parted the handles so one sharp edge of the blade dipped down to her palm. "No." Anna grumbled, causing the woman to jump. "That way takes forever. Blood is no good there." The small vampire moved over and jerked the woman's hand holding the scissors to her wrist and forced her to slice diagonally at the thin flesh there. The woman gave a yelp of surprise and pain, her eyes clenching shut to force back tears as Anna held her wrist in place over the cup that collected the deep crimson liquid. Well, she hadn't bitten her and the woman would walk away alive so it was a win even if her way of getting it was abrupt.

Only once the glass was half full did Anna release the woman's arm and like a rubber band did the woman yank it to her chest to apply pressure to the wound. There were no offered words before the stewardess hurried back down the aisle to disappear for the remainder of the flight. Anna's attention finally slid back over to Sebastian as she raised that cup to her lips. It wasn't the same as drinking straight from the vein but it was at least still warm-ish and fresh. She waited only a moment to see if he would reprimand her or not before turning back to her dollhouse. Anna stood there, staring at the scenes she had begun to create, drinking her blood, then slowly lowered it to the table with her hands still holding tight to it as if she could absorb the heat of it that way. "She was mine...like you mine. I won't let anyone trick me again."
