Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

That raised hand readily saw Arlo's questions fall short, even despite the amount of them that seemed to have built up. That assurance that he'd have time to hear the answers later satisfactory- he supposed. Arlo suddenly finding himself afflicted with a million things he wanted to ask, the very sort of things Patrick had forever been asking him if he'd had questions on and he'd waved away. He shouldn't have waved them away. He should have damn well listened and yet that was the power of hindsight he supposed. Patrick should have pushed him more....maybe, or in the very least have made him listen and yet the moment he even thought that very idea he knew it was futile. He'd never have listened. Not back then. Not when he was still angry at the world for everything that had happened. Arlo having taken his Maker entirely for granted. That other vampire never pushed, never pried- even if he should have. He simply let Arlo....be, save for those moments when he'd truly needed someone to haul him in the right direction. He'd been one of the few to have, well, had a good maker â€" and he hadn't even realised it. Christ.

It was almost fortunate really, that Malek chose that moment to pierce the flesh off his own skin and let that blood well to the surface. That smell suddenly invading his senses with a fierce potency that directed every single thread of his attention to that blood. That momentary hesitation was easily cast aside with Malek's words of encouragement, Arlo's lips finding those wounds the elder vampire had made before near inhaling that blood with a hunger he hadn't known he had. It was almost gloriously rich, that taste earning a sound of appreciation from within the younger vampires throat as he fed almost greedily. Arlo vaguely aware of the hand that rested on his shoulder and yet he paid it no real attention until Malek pressed gently against him with that subtle command to stop. The younger vampire readily hesitated. Arlo seeming to waver between halting that feeding as he knew he should have or further satisfying that hunger. That blood, on occasion, having a habit of tugging at those more....predatory sides to the normal mild vampiric being that Arlo was. The boy barely even aware of that growl that suddenly rose in his throat, a subtle warning to Malek himself that he hardly appreciated being told to stop. That very sound a challenge to the other vampire to make him. Unwise though it surely was to challenge a being so much older than himself. Arlo hardly thinking straight in the grips of that bloodlust as his own grip tightened on the other man's arm and he continued to feed.

The pressure on his shoulder increased, Arlo pressing stubbornly right back against it, that sudden snarl spat at him seeing him hesitate once more. Those instincts at self-preservation beginning to tug at him now. Malek's snarl deeper than his own in that rather clear warning and yet.....that blood was so good. He was still hungry. Malek just....didn't understand. He was hardly going to kill him, what did a few more mouthfuls hurt? Then again, Malek had been nice enough to let him feed in the first place- he probably should stop. Damn, stopping was hard though. Not when he didn't truly want too. Maybe just one more mouthful- just one more. That utterance that this was his final warning was all but ignored. Arlo oblivious to that touch of Malek's power as it washed over him, at least until it fully begun to take hold, that sudden desire seeming to roar to life far more potently then it had before. Arlo near freezing in place as those sensation of lust and want and need seemed to grasp him. Those sensations far more powerful than that hunger. His fangs every so slowly withdrawn from those wounds then as he glanced from that bitten arm to meet Malek's gaze and back again as if unable to understand the simple atrocity of injury that had occurred.

"Oh god, im so sorry! I didn't mean to bite you, babe. I just...I.....I don't know what I was doing!"

How could he have injured the man! The man he adored more than anything in the world. That anxiety seeming to find him in equal measure then as Arlo gently releases his grip on Malek's arm to let the man take back his bitten wrist, his tongue sweeping that blood from his lips as he glanced upward once more at those words. He warned him? Warned him of what? Arlo oblivious to anything and everything outside of that sudden desire he had to be closer to Malek then, to be nearer, to tell him exactly how he felt about him and exactly what he'd like to do to him. Maybe he had a thing for Englishmen. Sebastian and now Malek. Arlo largely oblivious to that power at play once more, the younger vampire reaching for his own affinity then, disappearing entirely from sight only to reappear behind the other man. His arms wrapping suddenly around Malek's waist and yet there was nothing violent within that act- rather, that need to be close to him had suddenly resulted in an apparent need to hug him. Arlo entirely oblivious to the obscurity of his actions then as he held the other man to him.

"Malek? We should probably get married. I think. Do you want to marry me? I won't bit your arm again- I change I promise."

Well....maybe, he wasn't totally sure he could but it hardly mattered. Arlo's natural impulsiveness, it seemed, only further heightened by Malek's powers. Arlo simply just.......wanted him.
