In those many years that she'd lived, Vitani had taken to traveling the world. Whether it be from some unusual restlessness or simply because she knew that she had her entire immortal life to live as she said desired without hardly ever having much of anything to worry about aside from those that might hunt her - which to be honest had yet to happen for several reasons - the fae woman had never really settled in one place for any significant length of time. She had purchased several places for herself in a number of places across the world, like that estate on beach of Bora Bora where so many would do just about anything to have "a little piece of paradise", and then there was her other favored dwelling in the heart of Verona, but these were simply a small handful of homes that Vitani and made for herself. What she'd thoroughly enjoyed about wandering across the sky countries and continents was, of course, the various... flavors that could be found. The men were just as deliciously different as the food culture, and while it had taken the mastery of those masquerade masks that she so effortlessly wore these days, Vitani had been able to adapt near flawlessly into each new piece of the world and blend in despite her wild beauty that drew the men of each city to her like flies to wild clover honey. She would learn the customs and traditions, she would learn the language, and that was nearly all that the platinum blonde had to do to find herself a few willing hearts to play with and steal from before they even had the faintest idea of what had happened. But, as with many of the shiny little trinkets and sinful amounts of money that the fae money had been given in exchange for her favor - some even going as far as to beg her to take that last name of theirs - as well as invested and planted so that she was assured she would always have her wealth to make just about anything easily obtainable, she would eventually grow bored of them and that was when she would find herself a new city and a new population of men to entertain herself with.

So diverse was the pallet of the fae woman's taste in men of the world, that she had of course hardly been content with one type. She'd earned herself a few of each that she ever came across, ranging vastly from the polite and proper gentleman looking for that missing half of his soul to the hardened criminals on that list for the world's most wanted and everything in between, there was hardly any sort of man that Vitani I came across which she had yet to sample for herself. She'd been subject to the showering and doting nature of hopeless romantics and she'd been wrapped up in the sheets of those rougher men whose eyes were always so full of fierce lust and a ravenous hunger to take anything and everything they wanted, so ultimately she was far from put off whenever she might come across the more uncommon brands of the masculine sex. After all, was it not a significant quality of any great hunter or huntress to adapt to the creatures around them to find those desires "trophies"? She'd been able to play each part needed with near perfection, able to portray herself as that sweet and soft woman looking for love or the dangerous femme fatale unafraid to take a life if she should ever be crossed, that it was hardly difficult nine out of ten times for Vitani to find a role that did not suit the scene she found herself in, though in the end it was "cold and calculating" that was perhaps one of the simplest parts she could play - considering of course that this was how the fae woman was in all her stunning glory - and so, as she watched the well-dressed man from across the bar, Vitani couldn't help but think that tonight would call for the more wicked parts of her natural self. And the best thing about knowing the intricacies of each part was that she could take shards of each one and make something entirely different, a mask that had all the complexities necessary that it was near impossible for her to not find that sweet spot, that perfect mark to strike a chord in those she could ensnare.

Many women might have been put off by the cold in those stony eyes as they practically scowled down into that already near empty glass. There was absolutely nothing about the man that suggested he was warm and approachable, those looks of disgust that would flicker ever so fleetingly hardly going missed by glittering peridot eyes dressed beneath the dark mascara and eyeliner intricately painted over long, thick lashes and yet she almost couldn't resist that icy "charm". There were so terribly few men of class that she has found in this quaint little city so different from the foreign lands that she'd lived in throughout her lifetime, those hungry eyes and less savory comments or pickup lines never going unnoticed though she hardly found them of any interest to her unless she could see something making it worth playing past, but this man... there was an older air about him that she felt inclined to entertain herself with this evening. She took a deeper pleasure in toying with those more arrogant types in the end because it was often those more vain and superior men that made her little game of chess rather interesting, though maybe the reason behind this was because Vitani herself was prideful and shallow in her met natural sense. It hardly mattered why though, the fae woman far too content to indulge her desire to see just how she could manipulate them. Especially when she was able to take the ones that saw themselves as unbreakable and pushing them over an edge they didn't know they had been standing close to. Sadistic? Perhaps only a little.

He doesn't look her way as she almost glides over the hardwood flooring and towards that empty chair beside him. She could feel the eyes of those other men trailing after her in disbelief as she slides gracefully into the seat of perhaps the only man in the bar that hadn't been more or less instantly take by her flawless beauty. There was little doubt that a majority of those men were now the ones casting the impassive man those looks of disgust and utter envy as the fae woman made it clear just who it was she found the most interesting "pick of the little", setting that near empty martini glass on the polished surface beside him. Crossing one leg over the other once more, she offers him that coy smile when he does turn those cold blue eyes upon her, British baritones falling from those near scowling lips of his as he replies to her keen observation. His eyes brush along her skin as he takes her in, lingering only briefly on her bare shoulder before trailing back up to pretty pale green eyes as Vitani remains how she had when she'd arrived beside him, hardly feeling unsettled beneath his gaze. He speaks again in a simple remark before he shifts himself to face her, the fae woman now taking that hand that had been idly caressing the neck the rim of that martini glass and moving it to toy lightly with that delicate sterling silver chain that was draped over her neck, a melodic and ever so brief note of laughter falls from her pink lips though she says nothing in return to his remark. Instead, those ever watchful eyes watch as that all to familiar look dances faintly over his features as he debates the same that she so often did. Oh yes, she knew how such a mind worked, since it was also how hers so naturally grazed over similar things. He gives her an answer and she allows for that perfectly arched brow to rise in vague intrigue, hardly daring to look at the bartender who'd previously been fawning over her as the cold man beside her beckons him to fill Vitani's glass.

When the man begrudgingly places a full martini in front of the fae woman, still does not look at him as she lifts that glass slowly take her lips, those peridot depths interlocked with unmoving blues."Oh? You mustn't have anything worth going home to, then. That's quite a pity", she remarks to him in those smooth and silken words before she daringly leans just a little closer now, lowering that hand she'd had her chin propped with so that those soft fingertips reach out to brush delicately and ever so slowly over the hand that clasped the crystal glass of poorly aged alcohol he'd been drinking. Her touch trails along the tip of his thumb and along its length before retracing its path, Vitani curious to see just what he would do with this gesture. Would he move away, or would he try and hide whatever enjoyment that slight sensation might give him? A cruel smile etches into his chiseled features as those subtly accented words fall into the air between them and it has her coy smile shifting into something bolder."Is that what you call it? How interesting... especially considering I hardly feel endangered - especially here", she purrs to the man then, still allows for her index finger to brush against his hand in the same manner it had been, almost daring him to stop her."I must enjoy living dangerously then, for I've found that it seems to be a law of nature, inflexible and inexorable, that those who will not risk cannot win...", she replies softly before suddenly going silent as she keeps her pale green eyes remain fixated upon him, dark lashes fluttering slowly over them as that coy smile grows ever so slightly, her ever so gentle explorations of his skin halting suddenly as something glittered in those peridot depths piercing his of dark ocean waters."... and, I do so love to win", she whispers as those cryptic words leave her parted lips, that fingertip resuming it's slight and always stroking."What about you, Mr. Dashing and Dangerous? Do you dance with chance and her fickle odds on that ballroom floor covered in shattered glass?", she ushers quietly, challenging him to shift his chess piece on the board of that they were both playing now, daring him in so many ways with so frighteningly few words as she tests that cold and impassive expression he so easily kept around him just as she did that mask of a bold and beautiful temptress. Though, what he did not know was that she was almost entirely herself. The symphony of lies and deceit was hardly the tune that she was moving with tonight despite that coy glimmer that flickers across her near flawless features as she waits for the man to make a move.
