The young woman's distinct assurance that not only was she capable of skating but that, surely, all Fae were capable off this feat only further prompted that frown upon his lips. Who on earth had told her that? Dorian rather assured that skating was not a power possessed necessarily by his species but, rather, one gifted to any whom might be deemed to practice it with any level of determination. Italy's utter lack of snow and therefore ice in his childhood years, let lone his inability to swim and a general fear of large bodies of water (frozen or otherwise) so garnered from that very fear had resulted in the Monarch never yet acquiring that skill. He had, several times, skated in England with Sebastian and yet more often than not the vampire either allowed Dorian to cling to him or lingered close by should the Fae King fall as he learned. Dorian hardly capable of more than a few stumbling circles of those ice rinks. He was getting better to be sure and yet he was hardly competent by any stretch of the imagination. Why on earth the little woman desired such a thing from him he hardly knew.

"Well I fear I cannot, at least, not very well."

He admitted almost reluctantly. Another wave off his hand offered to his security team to assure them he was quite alright, even if a part of him took some measure of comfort from their presence. It was good to have them about just in case the worse should happen. Several of them of the supernatural ilk and more than capable of handling Anna-Marie should she decide to have any sort of tantrum. Dorian, for now, far more determined to merely appease her in some sense. Preventing a meltdown was far easier then surviving one. Dorian hurriedly found himself pulled before that man within the booth then, the fellow offering him a skeptical glance as if hardly believing this was truly his child and yet it hardly seemed he was given to care terribly much either. Anna-Maire reaching for that pair of offered skates before the man proceeded to ask him what size he desired. Dorian momentarily glancing down at his own shoes.

"Oh, eleven I suppose. I can't just watch her from the side? Very well."

He relented easily enough if only for some fear the man might refuse to allow her on the rink without Dorian to accompany her and so risk prompting the child's disdain. The Monarch following after her then to begin attempting to work out how a skate laced up at all. Some things were so very difficult without Sebastian's assistance. Dorian largely oblivious to the child watching him before those singular words saw him glance toward her, the Monarch hardly having expected the child to mention the wedding at all even though Sebastian had assured him she had been told- and invited. Dorian still decidedly unsure how he felt about that very invitation. On one hand he understood so exactly why Sebastian had invited his Maker, on the other he held a great deal of concern for his own guests let alone that ceremony at large. Dorian so having taken comfort only in the fact that their guest list contained enough supernatural beings that, should Anna-Marie choose to make a problem off herself he was assured she might easily be taken outside. Even for all her power he suspected she was not nearly so strong as Matteo or Alexander and if worse so came to worse he had little doubt she would be escorted out without a scene. The small child something of a decided sore point for the man and yet one he hardly dwelled on now. In the least she seemed to have taken the news of that wedding well- just as Sebastian had suggested. Dorian eyeing the girl as if expecting some sort of outrage to follow that declaration, that surprise finding his features when it didn't.

"Yes we are getting married. He told me that you knew. He mentioned that you were coming. He didn't mention this new dress though, perhaps you would like to show it to me some time?"

It was safer, perhaps, to steer her mind away from the idea of what ceremony itself and towards those parts of it her girlish min undoubtedly looked forward too- like new dresses. Vampire or not she was still a woman, Dorian content to ask after that splendid new dress he was sure she was decidedly proud off. He rose easily to his own feet then with those skates in place as the young vampire pushed easily onto the ice and away from him to glide on its surface. Good heavens but this was slippery! Dorian gingerly taking one step and then another, one foot sliding dangerously sideways as the Monarch wobbled before reaching to grasp onto the wall. His legs threatening to fly out from under him at any moment as he clung to that solid side. His feet still slipping about.

"I -oh, goodness- I think I- oh dear- why don't you skate and I will watch you from here? I fear I might fall over entirely without this wall."
