Cause i've been dancing with shadows
waiting till the morning after

The vampire's inigo gaze remained entirely steadfast upon the woman in front of him as he so commented on the inquisitive color of her hair. The complement hardly seemed to catch the woman off guard, instead, she seemed far more speculative of such a simple sentence then he had anticipated such effortless flattery would so make her be. A small shrug crossed the man's shoulders at her idle inquiry, Sebastian responding without missing a beat even if she had meant such a comment to be more rhetorical than anything else. He stepped closer towards her, carefully attentive to her reaction if only that nagging instinct that, somehow, he was dancing with a prey more dangerous than his usual interests. "I do not think whether or not it was dyed or natural affects how utterly ravishing it looks upon you." He offered, those words uttered with that small, warm simper still dancing across his masculine features. In this, Sebastian was perhaps well capable - this courting of women and men alike, this art of flirtation was what he was made for. His navy gaze lingered upon those delicate curves and muscles of the woman's physique, noting with an acute observation that her figure was hardly that of any normal woman that might so haunt the halls of a dance club. No, she was well toned in places that hinted of her physical capabilities and it was that curiousness which saw the vampire faulter in consideration.

Nevertheless, the young woman's comment on the dance club itself saw his attention drift from his own internal thoughts of her, the man offering his own response on how particularly peculiar the state of the Voodoo Room. It was often far quieter than this, the bodies not as close, the alcohol flowing freely, the music somehow sadder and more wistful. He suspected the usual patrons had drifted into one of the other rooms in the establishment - frankly he should have taken their lack of presence to have been a forewarning and yet, here he was. The girl's mention of how good this particular night must have been for business brought only the smallest of nods from the man, Sebastian wholly agreeing that it was surely this fact of the extra income that allowed such boisterous frivolity to continue - not to mention his own arrival with Anna-Marie to occupy the club's owner from her usual duties. The woman at the bar spoke again, commenting upon his state of dress and yet, Sebastian was entirely oblivious to girl's rather deplorable efforts to get under his skin. In his day and age, the Englishman was expected to be wholly pleasant in front of gording words far worse than what essentially equated to - 'you're very nicely dressed'.

He presented the young woman with his own charming simper, watching the woman as she shifted in her chair, far more of her attention now settled upon him. His head tilted ever so slightly to the side as the female so considered him before commenting upon his nationality. His eyebrows rose ever so slightly. After all, Sebastian hadn't met any other British individuals besides himself....well, and now his best friend...and that were girl he'd taken in the alley outside of a bar just down the street. "Are we?" He inquired, entirely ignorant of their meeting of those same few individuals. Fortunately, the woman shifted the conversation, unfortunately, it was to a topic he was not particularly fond of discussing with a stranger. As it was, however, he was particularly skilled at side stepping such issues. "Oh, nothing terribly exciting, a mutual friend of mine and the owner of this establishment wanted to see, I merely....accompanied." That warm simper was once again upon his features as the Englishman so continued the conversation, purposefully steering it away from himself and more towards the woman in front of him, "And yourself? Was it the drinks that lured you or was it something else entirely?"
