Ashes to Ashes

The warm blood that slid down her throat and settled in her stomach calmed the monster within the child. It was by no means wholly satisfying, no hunt, no fight, and hardly enough to fill her belly. If Sebastian hadn't been already employing his own ability on Anna, creating a more accommodating atmosphere, then she would have fought him on being pressed away from the stewardess. Anna was in the mind to oblige her Sebastian though thanks to his power and slowly released her hold on her meal to sit back on her heels. Curious and observant, crystal blue eyes surveyed Sebastian as he diligently plucked the stewardess up into his arms and moved down the aisle. Slowly the child vampire followed on his heels; he was moving the source of food after all.

Anna paused watching Sebastian situate the woman within the bathroom before stepping back as he sealed the woman within. That was certainly an odd place to stash her. No matter though, her attention flickered back up to her prodigy. She found it easy to bombard him with questions now, her mind entirely onto the next thing after feeding which would always be a game. It was constant work to keep her attention, always needing to be doing something, whether that was a coping mechanism in order not to fall into her memories was hard to tell. Anna tilted her head and looked down at her hands when Sebastian posed the question on just how she managed her own ability. "I...don't know....I just wish it...and it happens.." She honestly wouldn't have been able to tell him how she just wanted to do it, wanted to grab onto them and make them do things and it happened. Perhaps if she wasn't fractured she could have been more help in that department.

Either way her attention was back on Sebastian and the possible games that he could provide with his new ribbon ability. Anna giggled in delighted as the wisps erupted and coiled around her like a large necklace. "Silly, that's not how it goes." Still she took the end of the makeshift jump rope and immediately began swinging it, hopping from two feet then alternating feet then skipping as she chose a new song. "Down in the valley where the green grass grows,
There sat Grace dressed in lace as pretty as a rose.
She sang so high, she sang so sweet,
Along came a boy and kissed her on the cheek.
How many kisses did she get?
1, 2, 3, 4..." And on and on Anna went through a list of songs, continuously jumping and hopping and skipping. At least she was no longer worried about being in a plane and no longer bored and hungry. In fact, she ended up, after two hours, wearing herself out.

Anna slowly ceased her game and trailed over to their seats where she discarded the red ribbon onto the table before climbing into the seat beside Sebastian. It was hard to tell whether it was the lingering of his ability in her system or simply the link between them through blood that had her seeking to be close to him now. Her eyes were drooping, her body feeling the effects of being up far into daylight hours and quickly becoming sluggish. "Are we almost there?" She whispered as her body curled into itself to rest her head on the small provided pillow on the armrest that separated their two seats. Whether or not she was actually awake to hear Sebastian's response was hard to tell as her eyes had closed and the child vampire finally still.
