Ashes to Ashes

Anna's control in listening to Sebastian seemed to last only as long as he was paying attention to her and only if she wasn't hungry. She was through the adjoining door quicker than a mortal could process and on her prey. The little vampire normally prefered to chase her prey, enjoying the exhilaration that came from running and the flood of adrenaline within her victims stream. However, she was hungry and there was enough fear within the woman's system as Anna toyed with her trapped on the bed that it took over the previous scent of sex which she despised so much. Anna had nearly forgotten about Sebastian within her assault that his appearance in the room resulted in her expecting the man to pull her away from the bed or at least attempt to talk her out of it. Her gaze held steady on him as he stood to confront the fallen man, intrigued by his stance of putting himself in between her and the stranger.

Surprise colored Anna's features the moment Sebastian dipped down and latched onto the man instead of arguing with her against such activity as he normally did. There was a moment of utter pride that overcame Anna though she didn't exactly know why as she watched Sebastian feed. It was as things should be in her mind. The woman upon the bed gave a short shriek at her lover being taken down which Anna cut short by pouncing on her, sinking her small fangs into the soft flesh of the woman's neck as she fought futilely beneath the child. It was an odd sight indeed seeing a full grown woman unable to throw off a child but that extra strength of their species and her affinity kept the woman in check.

It wasn't until Anna heard the ping of the elevator down the hall and the emergence of people did she release the woman. Her victim was far from being dead though had passed out from the blood loss. Anna slid from the bed to stand beside Sebastian, eyeing him quietly a moment as he fed before laying a firm hand on his shoulder. "Nous devons partir, mon Sebastian." (We have to go, my Sebastian.) It was an odd thing to have Anna being the voice of control but the sound of pounding feet as security rushed towards the room meant they had to make a swift exit. Whether it was her tether to this vampire or her desire for him as her playmate was hard to tell but in this situation Anna saw it fit to protect him in the same unknown manner he had felt that need to protect her earlier.

Anna's hand slid down to take Sebastian's hand and tug him until she was swiftly leading him back into their room. It took only a moment to grab their things before she was once more leading him from the room. The security had reached the doorway as they did, blocking their escape which caused Anna to spit a hiss at them and flick her wrist in quick succession sending the three burly men backwards to slam against the wall of the hallway. "Let's go." Once more Anna hurriedly led Sebastian down the hallway to the opposite end of the elevator where the stairwell was. The small vampire never once released Sebastian hand the entire way down the stairs and out the building until they were well away from the hotel and its security which had no doubt called in hunters to control the situation.

Only several blocks away did the French child's fingers slip away from her childe as they turned to skipping, taking her form a few strides ahead of him now. Anna began to hum happily as she skipped and twirled. It was as if a switch had been flicked from coherent maker protecting her childe to fractured being once more with no idea as to what had just occurred. "Where are we going now?" Anna ceased her skipping to look up at Sebastian with droplets of blood staining the breast of her dress.
