Ashes to Ashes

Anna was quite simply...bored. Boredom for most people was a mindset that meant very little but for the little vampire it led to much graver consequences. The problem with living forever was perhaps the never ending monotony that was unbearable for very long let alone over six hundred years. The sun came up and the sun set with people bustling to and fro on their meaningless little ant lives. Every so often a ripple of chaos such as a war or other such catastrophe came about to stir things up but there was only more time in between those.

The petite French blonde wandered along the stretch of the sidewalk down the well-to-do North district. Her familiar vintage pale blue dress with white stockings and her black buckle shoes were her choice of attire for the night. Crishlyn was gone which meant the modern clothes that had been chosen for the small girl had been passed over for the more traditional clothes she was used to. Perhaps it made her stand out a bit more but the people of Sacro hardly stopped nowadays very much away of the supernaturals in their presence to question a little girl out at night. What was more strange anyways...a little girl...or the plethora of Weres that wandered their streets in animal form?

Anna-Marie had, at least, fed and fed well at that. She had taken her original boredom out on some fisherman who was now sinking to the bottom of the docks. He was a bit too salty if you asked her but it had quenched her thirst enough for her to turn her attention to other things. Her games now could perhaps contain more play than feeding. The first logical place that Anna had checked for a playmate was her dear Sebastian's estate only to find the establishment vacant. His scent was faded indicating he had been gone for a few days now. This irritated her to no end so the child vampire left for the North with the intent to find some other playmate even if she had to force them. Forcing others to play with her wasn't exactly something new either.

Her attentive gaze had been lingering on the passerbys as they passed her stilled form standing against one of the old brick buildings. None so far had sparked her interest, no one appearing like they would be much fun. That was until she spotted a form jogging across the street. Now Anna couldn't always just pinpoint vampires right away but she had spent so many hours watching and hunting those joggers that utilized the forest paths that she knew the form humans took when running. So, when seeing this man, his strides were too perfect, too rehearsed and stiff that it screamed inhuman at her.

A small smile curled the corners of her lips as she had selected her new target. In the same quick movement born of their species and the man denied, Anna's form crossed the street and came upon his side only to quickly reach out and jab her hand to his arm, shouting a "You're it!" before scampering a few yards away and looking expectantly back at him. Anna's pause was brief until she figured that he must not have understood and decided to inform him, "Don't you know how to play tag?" She blinked and tilted her head slightly looking back at him with those crystal blue eyes.
